1044 bought already….no thanks from me. Upcoming disaster.

6 vouchers per day, everyday in coming 6 months.

i buy many of these from usually, and normally use them 1-2months or either the week the offer ends, no Q's or issues with the vouchers.

Tempting, but so is walking a tightrope without a net.

My only complain is why do they treat their customers different from scoopon users. I mean having uneccessary conditions such as "ONLINE BOOKINGS NOT ACCEPTED". WHY NOT?!!!

This rings an alarm bell. You call them. They ask you whether u r using a voucher and next thing u know there's no availability.

    • +1

You're right. Doesn't Scoopon say that they are not allowed to treat scoopon customers differently?

      • +3

Thats why I never bother with these food vouchers. They should not ask you for your Scoopon coupon when you are booking. When you have finished your meal and are making payment then you should provide the coupon and they adjust the bill.

        • +2

they bring out the dodgy meat with smaller portions so you don't get sick for scoopon users ;)

        • +1

Totally agree. Bought one for a place we've been to before; this time around they asked about the coupon and said we couldn't book over the phone!!!! How are we going to book then? Go all the way there?! >.<

        • Total ripoff, no bargain to be had here.

well normally only fine dining restaurants have phone booking, and is a must! only the fast outlets dont have booking, u sure you didnt get mixed with that?

iv spent over $500 worth of restaurant vouchers in past 5months and to be honest only 1/20 restaurants had crappy food, well just got to know which ones to buy, read those review eating sites! vouchers dont change the way customer service goes or the food, same stuff what you get even without vouchers. over 1000 ppl bought the vouchers already from the site.. cant be wrong, goona have more buyers than people neging or bad mouthing about the sites ;/

the reason they ask, what if you dont turn up? they lose a table and another person could have taken that table, normally if you dont turn up and with some courtesy you should ring up and cancel the booking if cant be attended, like stated in all vouchers you need to call within 24hours.

Did you read my post even?

The point I was making is that they should not ask if you have a coupon when you make a booking and treat you like a normal customer.

Voteoften just having bad exp from one restaurant doesnt consider all are bad…

I am discussing THIS deal and it specifically says no internet bookings for scoopon users. That is treating scoopon customers differently in THIS instance. Please stop preaching to everyone. If you must preach, please use coherent sentences.

    • DEvok, must you quote each person you want to respond to and then post that reply as a new comment? just click "reply" below the relevant post dude.

    Hmmm….

I think that: the reservation 'system'; the fact that over 1,200 have been sold (with still more than 12 hours to go); and the reviews (admittedly only two) on eatability.com.au and at UrbanSpoon (21 people have voted and only 52% like it) - will cause me to neg this one.

    • +1

I didn't bother looking since I wasn't planning on buying. I'm going to go neg on this. Plus it's scoopon. If you have any problems, they will be your problems.

  • +1

I for one, have noticed being treated like a homeless beggar when presenting "SCOOPON's" on about three occasions. I wont neg the deal, but i certainly wont be going anywhere near these deals anymore..

  • +1

Is it a common occurance that people using Scoopons or the countless other prepaid food/restaurant coupons are treated like "downgraded" customers?

  • I'd normally buy this deal but the fact that 1000+ people have purchased it then i think i'll pass.

Imagine calling up asking for a booking on a friday / sat night
I'm guessing the response will be something like this " sorry we are booked out till July"

Then you call back in the next few months and they are full booked..

You email scoopon and they say sorry " subject to availability"

you email them back around 10 times then you get your refund..

    Sick of scoopon

    • Agreed, this has happened to me. You got a refund? Scoopon told me bad luck. Any law about this? We basically are not buying anything if there isn't any availability.
