        I wish you could DOWNLOAD in 4k and watch. I never actually watched on my PC, but any itunes content I used to download to the laptop, and then watch on the appletv via home sharing over the lan - so I'm not subject to internet slowness etc. So although overcompressed, I'd still get the best possible quality, and reliability.

        They took that option away with 4k, the tossers.

    Not for long, iTunes purchased content will be available on new Samsung smart TVs this autumn and on Amazon Fire TV, LG, Roku, Sony and VIZIO platforms "Later this year".

      Looks like only this year's models will be able to run it. Maybe not even Sony as it could only be that Airplay. Plus it says available in Autumn (for the UK), so that means September!

  While streaming would be asking a bit much, do they actually give you the option of downloading the full 80mbs versions?
