That's absolutely perfect and saved me a trip to pick some up from IKEA on weekend. Thanks!

These dual colour ones are really interesting: https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B077K5KYTX/

Edit: There's a triple colour one too! https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B077K165BW/

    • how do yo change colors/temps?

these are not "smart"bulbs like xiaomi's, right? cant control them with an app.

      • +2

Normally just switch off then on again.

      • +4

Switch on and off within 6 seconds to change. If you leave them off for 6 seconds, it remembers the setting for next time you switch on.

NOTE: The triple colour ones are all shades of Warm White (2200K, 2500K, 2700K). The dual colour ones give you Warm and Cool White (3000K and 6500K)

        • thank you.

will check how many we need first thing tomorrow morning.

        • Looks like the triple is dimmed at warmer temps, 2700k @ 100%, 2500k @ 40%, 2200k @ 10%.

Unfortunately looks like the scene switch ones have all gone up in price already.

          • @bamzero: geeee….

            "3.49$ Philips LED light bulbs
This offer provides customers with 75% or more off select Philips LED light bulbs products as displayed for that offer on the amazon app or amazon.com.au ("Qualifying Items") – discount included in prices displayed (“offer”). Applies to items sold by Amazon AU only. Offer is valid until 11:59PM (AEDT) on 3 April 2019 or while stocks last. See full terms and conditions at the bottom of this page."

            wonder their stock level!

            • +1

@aec: They are back down to $3.49.

              • @bamzero: got 4 dual colors. cheers.

        • My scene switch bulbs just arrived and the 6 second memory isn't working. It just keeps changing from cool to warm every time no matter the time gap. Anyone else experiencing this?

  • Cheapest I've seen are when they are half price at Coles/Woolworths, which are still $5 to $7.50.

  • Damn I just bought some

    • +10

Time to buy some more to average out the savings lol

  • pricebeat @ bunnings?

    • +4

Just get it through Amazon delivered with the cashbacks.

Bunnings will use all sorts of excuses not to price beat, in this case "we don't price beat an online store".

  • great

  • I've been waiting for something like this to finish off replacing the rest of the bulbs in this house. Thanks!

  • Just in time — Thanks OP!

  • bought 4. Thanks OP

  • thanks
got a few of the 13w ones :)

    • Knew I should have jumped on it a bit earlier. Prices all over the place. 13W BC warm $14.97, but cool still $3.49. ES warm $7.50.

  • +1

The 18 Watt ones are brilliant :)

    • cool white, wish there was warm white :(

  • Some bulbs are back to full price :(

  • Thanks good deal

  • Between this post and the Woolworths post, supports a new model range coming soon.

I have the 806lm step dimming Scene Switch which saves installing a dimmer. $3.49 for these is a bargain.

  • +1

Anyone else having problems? Specifically trying to buy the Philips LED Candle (B22 Bayonet Cap 5.5W B35) - Warm White Frosted but price goes up to $14.30 at checkout. Refreshing page alternates between $3.49 and full price :/. No support from Amazon after 12… Previous times issues like this they never credit back or honour the price even when their site screwing up..

    • That doesn't seem to be part of the deal. Especially as there's no E27 equivalent on offer.

Suggest go for the nearest 7.5/8w or wait till tomorrow and see if it's a glitch that gets fixed.

      • Its on the deal page, on all and B22. It was at $3.49 but now showing full there as well.. I guess they sold out of whatever allocation? But like.. how many grandparents buying their "Candle Lights" at 1am? Like I was only buying for my Granddads pendant lights.. How common are they?

    • The 18W is the same. Click through and it’s normal price.

  • Thanks OP

  • awesome deal. thanks OP

  • +1

Oh man deal must have expired at midnight. I missed out :(
Cancel that. They just removed the 18w bulbs from the $3.50 deal. Lame.

  • Some people said here and elsewhere previously Amazon pulling a bit of bait and switch with other items and been downvoted or it's been downplayed..

Really seems if just the population of Ozbargain active at 12.30-1.30 am can sell out multiple items they're not having anywhere near enough stock allocated for sale. As they clearly have more stock as the items still for sale from Amazon AU it's a load of BS and they need to be called out on the bait and switch going on over and over.

    • People might be buying 14 or more bulbs in one go to get free shipping? I filled my basket with 10 bulbs but some of the prices changed before i checked out.

      • -6

Amazon can limit purchases per account (and routinely does for other items).

For a sale with a landing page and which is supposed to last until 3 April according to the terms and conditions, it seems a lot more like they just didn't have enough stock allocated.

Certainly smells like bait advertising to me.

        • -1

It was 5 max of each lightbulb, and it said until 3th of April, unless otherwise sold out. There was plenty available and the sale lasted for hours, hardly a bait and switch.

Using your logic, the lightning deals are all baits by Amazon too. I don't see you complaining on all other Amazon deals.

          • +1

@doweyy: I got 7 of the 18w bulb and 3 packs of the small one so I think it's hardly click bait. Just the population of ozbargain owl is too great for amazon to cope with:)

      • Did you have more than 5 of any one type of bulb? The T&C's a bit further down say
"The discount will only apply up to five identical products per order, but a customer can purchase multiple distinct products in one order."
(though this didn't show at all on mobile)

        • I didn’t no.

I was trying to buy 3x of the candle bulb.

      • +2

Doesn’t matter. Sale is meant to go to 3 April if they stock that little that within an hour and a bit there’s no stock on items that’s a bait and switch.

Like imagine this was The Good Guys who had a sale on some dishwasher until 3rd April. So today i go into the store but it’s back to full prixe. There’s piles of them sitting there and they advertised the price u til a certain date. That is 100% a bait and switch. Exactly what Amazon have done here.

        • Not sure I agree with you. They clearly had stock at that price as I and others bought some and have now run out. The end date is irrelevant as there’s always a ‘white stock lasts’ condition. The fact there’s stock at different price doesn’t mean they’re obliged to reduce any more quantity than they had set aside originally.

By the time this post was 1 hour old there was over 1,500 click throughs already. The offer was live on Amazon today deals much earlier than this post too.

Also look up the definition of bait and switch before you declare its 100% what they have done. They haven’t substituted inferior products by tricking you into buying something else. Same for your analogy for TGG.

          • @Hybroid: There's no way you or anyone would accept the same from a bircks and mortar store or anyone in the past would of. Imagine it's in their catalogue, exact same "disclaimer", you go into the store and they claim they're sold out of the sale stock, while heaps are still there on the floor in boxes ready to go. You'd lose your shit, it'd be on ACA probably if you pushed it enough. It'd be like that Simpsons episode "all the way to the Prime Minister" just about.

But here Amazon do exactly that but everyones like "yeah that's fine whats the issue?".

            • @deelaroo: If you're using the bricks and mortar example, the logic here is what they have is let's say 1000 on sale.

They've put aside 1000 as a promotion, not to completely sell out.

The Good Guys and other retailers do this all the time with limited time promotions. The only difference here is that Amazon don't specify the maximum amount available but rather put "unless sold out", or expired, which is the same practice as plenty of other companies.

Prezzee do it all the time and put exactly the same terms but still sell gift cards when expired.

            • @deelaroo: Nope, I would have exactly the same reaction if it was TGG offering diswashers half price but when I got there, their promotion allocation ran out and I am now being offered it for full price. It's an invitation to treat and I can accept or not. They don't owe me anything and I'm not entitled to half-price just because they have additional stock.

  • Don't really need them, but thought I'll just buy 3 to play with my pendant light as I please lol

  • sad to have missed out on an e27 18w :(

  • These are pretty nice to have, nice deal

  • Will these work with a dimmer? I would like one for my bedside table lamp but the on/off switch is a dimmer knob.

  • Were the 18w ones at the low price? Or did they “sell out”

  • only one left at 3.49 and in cool white, who wants cool white? dentists?

      I do.

warm white is too orange and generally makes the house look old and dingy, so haha I like to opt for the whitest white! So far Phillips led 1400 lumens 'Daylight' has been the best for me, would recommend.

      • 2700k is a bit too warm and orange, but the Philips 3000k Warm is just right for me.
        4000k is a happy medium I think.

    • Isn't Cool White in Bathroom & Kitchen, Warm White in Bedrooms & Living the general rule?

      • I personally only like warm white (yellow-ish) in the bedrooms. Cool white for everything else, including living or entertaining areas.

  • Just got 5 x Philips LED Light Bulb (E27 Edison Screw 10.5W A60) - Warm White

    Was still $3.49

Will be great to finally replace the living room white hospital lights - "Daylight"

  • Bought ten 13w cool white to replace the energy saving bulbs around the house.

  • Sale over? Im not seeing the sale price :(

    • Too late mate. :)

    • Prices have dropped again

      • Sweet :D

  • Price has gone back up :-(

  • 10.5W warm white still available

  • +1

Shiet I literally just bought a bunch of these at Woolworths yesterday. I've missed out on this deal but if anyone needs em, they are on sale right now for 1/2 price there (but yeah $5-7.50, as RichardL above has previously mentioned)

    • Same.. I thought the woolworths deal at 1/2 price was epic :(

  • bugger missed it!

  • I missed out too

  • +2

This is such BS nearly every deal on here that i've clicked through from the daily email, no matter how early I get to it, the deal is always gone by the time I get there.

  • +1

Looks like every bulb is back down to ~$3

    • Excellent!

  • Is the cool daylight range on sale too?

  • Got my candle lights. Scratch every negative comment Amazon are great long live Amazon!

  • 18W not on sale?

  • All good! most 11W and below LED bulbs (B22 and E27) are still in stock.

  • Damn they dont have MR16 or GU10 lights

Just curious: anyone here actually have Edison screw fittings built in their house as standard? Always amazes me that most Australian houses have standard Bayonet fittings when there is clearly better range in Edison screw light bulbs.

    • I believe newer builds (around the 2000 i imagine) have edison screws whilst older builds have bayonet as a standard fitting

      • full of imagination
        you believe wrong

        • that was just based on my observations in the apartments I've lived in, what is it supposed to be?

      • I've recently built and thought ES would be standard. Wrong. I got bayonet. Have friends who have built in the last few years and they all have bayonet. It's also hard to find lamps that fit bayonet light bulbs too so I really don't get it.

    • I will never change to Edison fittings i am team Tesla

      • I am team the cheapest 👌

  • thanks, will replace all the bulbs in the house (50% were blown waiting for this deal to come around) ;)

  • Let there be light!

  • I bought a couple from Woolworths last week when they were $5. This is even better, thanks!

  • so sad I couldn't buy a single one on sale :(

everyone single one of those is back to high prices

  • I received mine. But wow, the quality of Philips bulbs is going downhill.

First: all 5 bulbs of 3 different versions produce a clearly audible 50Hz humming noise. Most apparent when I stand next to a floor lamp with ears at bulb height, not really a problem when I use them as ceiling lights. For reference: the ones I bought from Woolies a year or 2 ago don't hum.

But second: I got one of the bulbs that can switch between warm and cold white. It doesn't remember the setting. Always alternates when I turn it off and back on (after a long time, much more than the 6 seconds they specify).

Cheap enough that I can't be bothered complaining with Amazon, but still not a good sign. Wonder what the longevity will be. Seems a case of you get what you pay for.
