Kids with hands the size of adults. And with parents that are willing to fork out $649 for an over the top phone they will drop and break.

If they started off saying this about the IP6 then yea for sure

To be fair, kids walk around with iPads everywhere nowadays, iPhones wouldn't be too much bigger than an iPad, hehe.

    • Relevant link for iPhone 6's also provided for the more "restricted" either by the missus or the wallet.

      • Or if the kids are young, then it's restricted by common sense. If you aren't restricted by wallet, just buy them new phones with apple care.

        • Good point, should've put 3+ yo kids.

          • @Metre: Yep, once they hit 5 you should just buy them iPhone XS Max 512gb, unless you are "restricted" either by the missus or the wallet.

Shopping at Kogan is a big enough risk as it is.

    Refurb phones kills the deal.

Hmmmm $650 for a visibly used, grey import two and half year old phone?
    I’ll pass.

    • Agreed, good phones (IMO, use one) but would not bite given these circumstances.

At least if you bought refurb from Apple they will have changed the battery and chassis. This should be classed as "used".

      This is probably why

Would be a good first/upgrade phone for kids.

Kids these days have expensive tastes. They will be asking for Galaxy Folds for kindy as burners.

      Yep. used != refurbished.
That is a crazy price of an old-model used phone. Probably repaired with 3rd-party screen. Not even the original charger and cable included, let alone headphones.
Are there still any new 6S+ around? They were selling for rather less than this, and still run latest IOS.

    Grey Import Refurb from Kogan

    That's some sort of trifecta!

I have this phone and it's great, but at this price you may as well buy second hand and save yourself the cash. Like others said above, it's big. It's very wide instead of tall like the Samsung phones so you need long fingers. This would NOT be a good phone for kids or children because it's just too big.

    • Double-tap the home button for Go Go Gadget Thumb.
Although that doesn’t help with the width. Your point stands.
