I think they were a weekly special for $10 a few weeks ago.
I read that Mirabella is s*** quality according someone who worked in a lighting shop.
My experience using Mirabella is that the bulbs blow alot quicker than others. So it's a price vs quality issue.
I would rather pay more and get a better bulb.
I actually had a Mirabella bulb blow because it burned a hole through the metal screw fitting, venting the gas and blowing the filament. The metal they use is so thin its like tinfoil.
Worse thing i experienced with these Mirrabella bulbs is the incessant high pitch whine some of them can make. Makes a 10,000 hour bulb useless in the first hour.
Yep garbage brand..do not buy
It's a false economy buying a cheap and nasty brand like Mirabella; the bulbs will likely fail well before their rated lifespan and they might even explode on you (going by the many reports on Whirlpool, and stumo above). Stick with Osram, Philips, GE, Megaman, or Duralamp.
I am pretty sure there are only a few factories in the world and Mirabella (i think) only wholesale them.
Cheap light bulbs suitable for those who do not like CFLs yet still want to save some power when compared to the old plain incandescent bulbs.
I've bought Mirabella CFLs in the past and have had them last around 4000 hours (more than enough to pay for themselves in saved electricity multiple times over). Not the 10,000 hours claimed on the packet, but not bad. Australian brand, all made in China. Osram halogens are made in Slovakia while Philips are Polish.
