  • looks like you have to pay $80 USD for 5 years service for this deal - offers 30 day trial but site wants you to provide payment details of course

various other offers on the site, but you have to work to find the pricing, no idea about logs etc

  • +1

Can get a lifetime account with them for US$39.99 - minus further discounts https://stacksocial.com/sales/ivacy-vpn-lifetime-subscriptio…

No idea what they're like though.

    • The lifetime is worth it as a backup/occasional account.
they do have a great Split tunnel VPN feture where you can set up so only an app uses the VPN & everything else uses your normal ISP.

They've been reliable for me, just a tad slow.
Their client for Android & Windows is easy to use and fairly quick to connect.

I found them useful for BBC iplayer as when they started swatting other VPNs, these guys flew under the radar. With Split tunnel, I was able to watch on the iplayer app and screen mirror to chromecast.

It was certainly worth the $us30 I paid a few years ago.

  • I bought a lifetime subscription from StackSocial, but didn't like it and got a refund. I was getting very fast speeds and was able to access Chinese based websites. It's quite common lately to not be able to access Chinese websites when using a VPN.

However, I found their Windowa app to be extremely buggy. Occasionally the app would freeze and then exit. Quite often, I would get a message that the session had expired. When this happened, I would be diconnected from the VPN, it would forget my username and password and the killswitch would not activate, so I had internet access when not coonected to the VPN. I would then have to enter my username and password again in the app, before connecting again. At other times it was consitently using 25% CPU time. Once, the CPU use was around 70% I think.

As far as I could tell, the issues were not specific to my computer, it was just a very buggy app, so I opted for a refund, which turned out to be a hassle. Ivacy told me to ask StackSocial for a refund. It tooks five days for them to finally give me a refund. Their so called support hero, kept telling me he has asked Ivacy to give me technical support, even though I kep telling me I just wanted a refunnd and the Ivacy had told me to ask for one. Even when I said I had talked to technical supporty at Ivacy, he took no notice. In the end Ivacy contacted StackSocial and asked them to refund me, which did lead to me being refunded after five days.

I will buy from StackSocial again, due their low prices, but I will make sure I thoroughly test a product first, to make sure I'm happy with it, before purchasing.

All in all, it's probaby not a bad VPN, if you don't have issues with their app. They do have a four day free trial, so you can test it briefly before purchasing.
