Was wondering whether the parking inspectors can give out multiple parking tickets in the 1 day. Ie. You over stay 2 hours. Get ticket and then don't move the car again. If they were to come back can they fine you again? I would have thought they could and would.
Partner was saying shes seem people put old parking tickets on, so as to deter the parking inspector not to bother again with that car as already fined. I know generally around our parking area the inspector only comes first thing in the morning to come back later in the afternoon to write out tickets. I would doubt they would return to same street later, unless it turns into a full residential parking area only at night.
UPDATE: Thanks all for those that commented.
Looks like they should only give you 1 ticket per period of the stay. Ie. If say its 2 hr P from 1pm to 8pm. If that changes they can give you another fine for the change in the period. Which makes sense.
For no standing and parking in front of driveways where the car clearly should not be there they can post multiple fines.
Apparently they can.
