Shipping comes up as $12.75 to Metro Victoria from MightyApe, cheaper for me via their eBay store ($14.30+$7.36 shipping) and then Amazon ($14.30+8.92)

I hate OzBargain. I tried to paste the eBay link that you get from eBay which is not an affiliate link but OzBargain just blocks every link with a question mark. And deletes your entire message. Whoever thinks that's good has a couple of kangaroo loose in the top paddock.

Anyway, you forgot about GST which is about $2.04. Cheaper on eBay but you have to find the link yourself because of OzBargain's link policies.

      • Yep, you are right. Forgot about the GST on the delivery :D

      • +2

        Thanks Fiximol.

        eBay link

        • Legend.

    • +1

Definitely cheaper through Ebay, thank you and thanks OP!

    • +3

Obviously the total can vary because of different postage depending on location, but for me (in inner city Sydney) the totals were:

      Mighty ape: $25.75 total = $13 + $12.75 postage
Amazon AU: $23.22 total = $14.30 + $8.92 postage. Item not eligible for prime.
eBay AU: $22.40 total = $13 + $7.36 postage + $2.04 GST. Item not eligible for eBay plus.

Looks like a fun game. After reading reviews, sounds like you need to collect booster packs to make the most of the game.
Has anyone identified a cheap way to get booster packs? They seem to go for about $9-$15 each on eBay.

    • They're NFC. You must be able to download them somehow.

      • From my research, I don't think that anyone has managed to make them downloadable.

        • where is the songs saved ? in the mixer board ? or through phone app ?

the card is only nfc that instruct playing of the songs

someone need to hack the phone app or the mixer board

          • @dcep: the HSBC3411 pack seems to be the most complete version.
can be had for around $90. need to then check if it can be read on a phone using NFC Tools/Reader.
            and maybe..

          • +1

@dcep: the app would be where all the songs are stored and also enforces the DRM for when the music licence expires. I work in NFC and RFID so I bought one as I'm interested in just playing around with it and see what I can hack out of it.. maybe playing my own samples etc. will see.

EDIT: ok just downloaded and installed the android app on my phone - 167MB separate download (assuming that is the audio assets), have a quick look around and can see the app was made in unity plus most interesting there is an x86 folder and a mono environment.. either porting or enhancing this might not be a huge issue for those with the coding knowledge.

            • @gizmomelb: sounds interesting! Keep us in the loop on how your digital probing goes!

I've heard they're some sort of custom NFC chip and don't conform to the usual standards - I'd be interested to hear if they read fine.

    Wow
Happy I held off on the previous offer! Thanks op!

I thought I was getting a good deal last week on Kogan at $69.

  • +1

It is a brilliant game my kids will play it through their UE boom when friends come over just as mixable house music.

  • +1

    Picked it up, thanks!

  • +1

Yeah thanks OP, nice one for $25. Anyone found a cheap pack source?

    • Also wondering this!

  • "App available through December 31, 2019" - so after that you can't use the app, anymore?

    • Seems to be the minimum supporter life span

    • Supported up to that date. After that there's no guarantees.

    • Yeah, issue after that is, in 5-10 years, what happens?

      • +2

Music licenses will have expired and you'll be the proud owner of a giant paperweight.

        • Yeah, $1 then I am in lol

    • +1

Thank you for contacting Hasbro regarding the DropMix app. I appreciate your interest.
The app available through date means the app will no longer be updated after this specific date.

    • +2

Get it via Amazon - you still can.

      • +1

        Thanks! Missed that

        • +2

Hope the order goes through for you me dude

      • +2

I did too, but anticipating that will get refunded due to no stock as its from Mightyape as well

  • +1

I reckon Ebay orders get first preference since they won’t want negative feedback

    • +1

Mine got cancelled and I ordered almost straight away (12:35)

      • No cancellation email for me. Ordered from eBay.

      • Purchased mine at 12.38 also cancelled

  • +1

This is different, looks interesting. Picked one up. Thank you OP.

Edit: Here's a quick review on it:

Amazon is out now too - wonder if legit end to stock or if that happened ages ago?! Fingers crossed!

  • So all gone?

    • +1

yep sorry all sold out now from all avenues at this price point

  • +6

If I wasn't doing work at work I could have bought this! ;)

Got this through the last deal and it arrived yesterday. Set it up and had a test run on my own last night… three hours later… it's good. Really good. The mixing works so well, but you definitely need more variety with the vocal cards.

The cheapest packs I could find were through Mr Toys. They're based in QLD and shipping is a flat $10, so I ordered 5 booster packs at $5 each. They're apparently random cards so I might get dupes, but what the heck, I already think the game will be worth it.

I might even start a thread to swap dupes if I get any :)

  • +1

Damn, this game has been in my periphery for years now. Bummed I missed such a steal!

  • +1

Thanks OP! Managed to grab a copy earlier. Looks like a lot of fun.

Add me to the list, looking for booster packs now.

    • +1

I wouldn't buy any yet - make sure your order is fulfilled first.

      • Really? What a bunch of… silly persons.
        Everyone getting cancelled?

  • Order cancelled. Ebay

    • oh no! you got an email from them ? what did it say ?

      • Mine said "dm1"

        • Same, what a shambles. Shame to give them negative feedback but no choice in this instance.

      • No stock at supplier :(

      • Did you get shipping confirmation?

    • mine got cancelled too… :(

    • Oh no :(

    • Cancelled also.

      :*(

  • Just got this message from Mighty Ape through eBay. I purchased at 12.43PM:

New message from: mighty_ape (51,379PurpleShooting Star)
I am very sorry for this happening. I have just checked on this with our supplier, and I am sorry to be the one who has to tell you this, but it looks like our supplier has removed the Drop mix - Music Gaming System Board Game from their inventory. I am very sorry about this and for all the inconvenience this has caused you :disappointed:We listed this product for sale on eBay on the basis that it was available, however, due to the massive sudden demand it received once it was shared on OzBargain, it sold out before our system had a chance to update the inventory count on eBay (usually every 30 minutes) . I have cancelled your order now and sent a full refund back to you.

Again, my sincere apologies for the disappointment caused.

    Kind regards,

    Andrew - Customer Service Rep

    • Same here.

    • +2

Negative feedback and report them to eBay for violating the third-party fulfilment policy.

    • So they were selling stock they didn't actually have - but hoped to be able to secure from their supplier if an order was placed? Is that what they call drop-shipping? Surely they wouldn't be able to do that with their Amazon listing also? I thought Amazon needed to have the stock in their warehouse as the fulfillment centre? This seems dodgy.

      • Fulfillment by Amazon is an optional service.

      • It was sold and shipped by mighty ape - not an amazon fullfilled item.

    • Full refund. Pffff. Partial refund? Of course it needs to be full refund.

  • +1

    Anyone receive a shipping confirmation?

  • Ordered at 12.19pm so far no cancellation email. Ordered direct from mighty ape.

    Apparently dispatch date of tomorrow.

    Fingers crossed.

    • Ordered from eBay. No cancellation email. Gonna stock up on booster packs.

      • Any good deals anywhere ?

      • I'm going to wait until it ships before stocking up - lots of cancellation notices up above. Ordered from amazon @ 11:25am, we'll see!

  • +1

Ordered mine at 11:45AM through Amazon and didn't get a cancellation email, pretty stoked. Will be keeping an eye out for booster pack deals!

    • Amazon cancellation emails take ages to come in

      They generally compensate circa $5-10

  • Has anyone received a refund for this yet? I got an eBay message saying my order was cancelled but haven't got the refund yet.

    • Yes refunded via PayPal

      • That's weird. I haven't got a PayPal refund yet.

        • +1

If the funding was sourced from a CC (via paypal) it’ll return to its original source.

  • Order cancelled by might ape

  • Cancelled. Ebay 07:52am.

  • Yep, cancelled. Can't even leave them negative feedback. Classic eBay.

    • Received a message saying mine was cancelled and I can still leave feedback. No refund yet either.

      • Can you leave them negative feedback?

        • eBay > Purchase History > Cancelled Items > I'd like to…. (drop down) > Doesn't allow for negative feedback now but this morning just after they cancelled it I had the option there.

  • Received my cancellation notice this morning (eBay)

I wonder if anyone will actually get theirs

  • +1

    "Here's $10 to spend…
We're so confident you'll love shopping direct, we're offering you a $10 account credit to help get you started."

If I was the cynical type …

  • I haven't received a cancellation email, does that mean I made it?

    • Hard to say - were you Amazon or eBay or their source website?

      • Ebay.. and I just checked.. it's not sent yet, buy not cancelled either.

  • +1

Amazon order here and also cancelled. I was actually looking forward to it as well. How can you do a pricing error over 3 different merchants

    • What time was your order? I bought through amazon too, no cancellation yet

    • +3

I just got shipping confirmation from amazon …

Ordered it maybe 15mins after the deal got posted.

  • +1

Anyone actually received a shipped notification yet?

    • +3

      Yeah, got shipping confirmation.

      • -2

same. I ordered when the deal first got posted (no upvotes yet).

      • Yeah got my shipping notice yesterday also.
