Update from seller: "Just to clarify again, these units are brand new sealed box. They are warranty replacements from Dell for stock that is now out of warranty. We are covering them with our own standard 12 month parts and labour warranty".

They are suggesting the buyers that if they would like Dell premium warranty, contact Dell and purchase one year for $200.

Top of the model line 13.3" Dell Latitude 7000. Commercial grade laptop staple.

@OzBragain: there is a big difference between being helpful and being a pain in the ass :) no one needed your opinion on what to do with my post that's for sure :D

@[Deactivated]: You had a mod politely explain to you why your poorly researched deal would not be unpublished and still you whined about how you should be in control of a post on their site.

You stuffed up but I'm sure you'll make a bit more effort next time. Name calling and moaning won't change that…move on champ!

  • I bought this instead

Received mine today and very happy with it. The box was factory sealed.

This is actually the top tier model with the narrow bezel carbon fiber lid and IR camera. Build quality is also a step above from XPS laptops. Quality wise nothing else comes close to this in this price bracket.

    • +2

congrats! I sure hope it works well for you and everyone else!

    • Do you have a photo by any chance?

I've never seen the carbon fiber lid!

    • great, I managed to furnish some fellow ozbargain members with quality hardware :) now, if anyone is interested, I negotiated a deal on Dell Precision workstation for $1300 brand new under warranty till January 22. • @Takae86: yes, send me a private message if you're interested.

              • @[Deactivated]: Is there any way around the cap for new members?

                • @Takae86: odd, when I try to message you it says that you are set to not accept new conversations, can you check your settings? otherwise we'll work something out

      • Hey mate is this the 3530 model?

        • yes

  • Found one from greys, on eBay.
looks like identical model but refurb, with dell 12 month warranty.

    With discount comes to 799.

    Item number:
    202594676164

Any reason why I shouldn't go for this?

    • Old model, 7 series CPU. It might be fine for the price and what you need but keep it in mind it is not the same model.

      • Ah yep, 8250 vs 7300. I guess that's a pretty decent difference? Thanks.

  • Anyone who has one, is it possible to diy the wwan module? Are the antennas already there though?

    • +1

most likely if it's not configured with wwan, antennas won't be there, and the sim tray won't be there either. probably can be done, but lots of work.

      • thanks, bought this machine with the new 10% off code :)
