6"×4" Photo Print $0.05 Each @ Officeworks

1010

I imagine this is price matching Harvey Norman's current deal posted by lovepub which expires tomorrow. Not sure how long Officeworks will have their deal available for. Some people think Officework's quality is better but it may come down to local stores.

$5.95 delivery or Free Click & Collect

Online and in-store (probably).

The officeworks machines seem a lot more picky with files, seems to have some algorithm that sometimes prevents you from printing edited files. Some stores have a machine that is basically an inkjet and the quality is terrible compared to the proper photo machine. Though many wouldn’t notice I guess. Also they give you the option for matte but print on glossy anyway.

Harvey Norman (Fuji?) appear to let you print anything, that’s where I do my invites. Just save as jpeg with RGB colour (careful since CMYK will display properly on the screen but print with incorrect colours) and you’re good to go.

Not sure about HN, but all of Officeworks have Fujifilm photo printers.

Okay thanks, I may have been mixed up on that point.

Officeworks have just moved over to Fujifilm Wetlabs. Should be some of the newest equipment in Aus.

Harvey Norman use Fujifilm Wetlabs whereas Officeworks use Fujifilm dry minilabs. Essentially the machines at OW are more sophisticated inkjet photo printers. If you want better quality, try selecting Counter service rather than the self-service printing as the quality of counter is better, however there could be a longer wait. As far as paper goes, there is one option at OW which is lustre paper. It's a hybrid of matte and gloss to satisfy both needs and so there only needs to be one type of paper in the machine. I believe Harvey Norman has gloss and matte/satin options.

Could you fit 4 of these photos onto an A4 page? Would it still be the same price per photo?

You can collage your photos, but i am not 100% sure of the formatting or price, I believe it would be more expensive as you'd be using the A4 version of the photo paper, I believe to be around 12 x 10 or similar. Worth checking it out the website as you can use the website for ordering.

  • Tips for Officeworks Photo Kiosks:
Instant Prints & Digital/Counter Prints are different, if you select digital, you get more options but it doesn't print on the spot. It's better do this for large amounts and non-4x6/5x7 sizes.

There is an in-kiosk editting application, it sucks, don't blame the staff if it sucks, they didn't make it.

If you have a ton of photos on your phone, download Photos at Officeworks and send the particular photos through application whilst using the kiosk, otherwise connecting to the machine physically will index all of your photos and take lots of time and slow the machine down.

Tried that, the app found almost every photo but the ones I wanted to print, ordered them randomly and refused to lazy load so while I was half way down the page skimming the photos trying to find what I wanted (and failing), it was loading photos from four swipes ago.

  • 0.05? For real? Won’t complaint the quality whatsoever, what can you do with 5 cents these days?!

  • Remember when these used to be $1 each? I thought it was amazing when they dropped it to 50c a print, but 5c is awesome.

  • Could I collage photos by myself into one piece of 6x4" size and print with the price 5c ?

    • Yes

Printed some photos last Friday. The quality is better than kmart one from what I can see plus its instant too. They have this self service printing machine. Can't fault it for 5cents

But… is it better than Harvey Norman prints?

      • I think so. Not sure why people think HN is the king of quality?
