With the help of Celebrimbor, Talion has forged a new Ring of Power as a means of overthrowing the Dark Lord Sauron and his Nazgul. To do so, players will need to amass their own army to rival the forces of Mordor, conquer territories, and survive brutal showdowns with powerful, vengeful enemies.

Key Features
The Nemesis System from Shadow of Mordor has been revamped, adding greater depth to the way NPC’s and enemy Orcs react based on your victories and your failures to provide an even more unique and personal touch to your journey across Mordor. Downed foes will return from the dead for vengeance and allies will step in to rescue you from perilous situations.
The world will now change depending on your decisions, creating a living and breathing environment reflective of your play through. New Orc tribes bring their own unique attributes and skill sets to the world, providing greater variances to gameplay and totally changing the look and feel of both conquered and occupied regions.
Take part in large scale, epic battles in the new Fortress Assaults. Build your army and meticulously plan how you will assault a captain’s fortress to give yourself the best chance of success. Directly overwhelm your enemies with brute force, or send in assassins and spies to weaken your foes before you are ready to strike.
The deeper RPG elements present in Shadow of War give you more control over exactly how you play, providing extra incentive to build your character into the ultimate warrior thanks to a new loot system that provides more customisation, and more powerful upgrade from the most significant of foes.

  • buy or wait for definitive edition

    argh!!!!

    edit: bought it

edit 2: welp download size is ~100GB on steam? fitgirl to the rescue….

    • +1

With the amount of time you spend on unpacking games from 'Fitgirl' you could download the game tenfold on steam.

      • +1

or just get the codex release

      • I unpacked Doom, took about an hour for the entire thing (languages, mp and editor). Without those it took like 35min on a Ryzen 2600.

The problem was Steam ended up downloading 40gb anyway zzz after i copied fitgirls files to the steam folder.

Wish steam had the option to turn off certain components of the install (like fitgirl)

      • To quote your username, lol no.

Who downloads those packed releases anyway? Download the ISO. It allows you to apply updates, cracks, DLC releases as needed, while Fitgirl releases usually aren't complete, especially for games that have a lot of updates or DLC post-launch.

Steam downloads are usually compressed as well, depending on the game. Hence why most installs require X GB of hard drive while the download will usually be some amount less than the quoted install size.
