The Nova 3i has an RRP of $499 but it has been available in the mid 300's on previous deals.
Great things is contract is only for 12 months (minimum total contract price is $660)

Seems like a decent phone except for:

    • if it is it would essentially be free phone plan for a year!
  • there is the same plan for $59 at telstra too - incase anyone can't be bothered porting.

  • I am in Melbourne. I am happy to buy the phone for $300 if anyone want to sell it.

    • I'm in Melbourne too. My current contract ends in a couple of days, and will likely be jumping on this. Happy to sell the phone for $300.

Shoot me a PM if you are still interested

  • Does anyone know if the phone comes locked to Telstra?

  • Does anyone know if I'll have problems with this if I'm an existing telstra business customer for mobile ?

I have a phone/number that was ported off our business account (which is in my name) a few months ago (to woolworths) and I want to take up one of these JB deals on it under my name for personal use will this generate any problems ?

  • The Huawei phone does not seem to be locked.
The early termination fee of $390 is charged if our leave the contract in the first 12 months so it seems it is more like a 12 month prepaid and there is 300 to use towards a phone.
The Telstra download speed is abysmal in Adelaide compared to my previous Optus speed. I was getting about 150 MB/Sec on Optus and I get about 25 MB/Sec on Telstra. I am wondering if it is where I am located as I am not sure if my phone is connecting to the 4gx towers

    • Just an FYI, MBps is megabytes per second, your speeds were 150Mbps/25Mbps - which is megabits per second. 8 bits to a byte.

  • Hi,
Can you use the phone overseas on other networks or is it locked and you can only use it with telstra in Aus or on roaming overseas?
