Free Lettuce, Pickle, Cheese, and Onion Burger (6/3) @ McDonald’s

732

Hi,
$2 Big Mac Quarter Pounder coming up, so if you are looking to try a very weird burger then here you go. Simply remove the beef pattys and it will deduct $2.20. Technically maccas owes you $0.20 :)

This deal is part of the McDonald's March app-only Offers

for those who dont find this useful, please move on and don’t criticise this post.
You don’t like it, but someone else might

    What wizardry is this?

      McBargain…

      McVegetarian

      • The "McHomeless".

      • -1

McD's needs to pick up their act on vegetarian options.
This doesn't cut it, most of their competition is streets ahead with vegetarian and vegan options.

I'm wishing for an Impossible Burger outlet here one day soon (https://impossiblefoods.com/newrecipe/), but so far no burger restaurants outside of the USA.

    • What black magic is this?

  • +14

Would be funny if McD sort out their system before then.

  • +4

You could add extra onions and pickles for free if they don’t fix this by then :)

  • I don't think they allow changes on the discount price product. Last week I went for 2 dollars Quarter Pounder, the cashier lady told me I cannot get rid of cheese to make the burger cheaper

    • +10

It works through the app or on one of the kiosks

      • I haven't been able to figure out how to use the kiosk with a reward. What are the first steps to do?

  • +17

    Come on guys…

    • +2

Agree.that move on comment…. Come on

  • +2

Imagine look of the guy/girl's face as the order goes in.

    M… McHealthy.

    • Imagine the look on their faces as these orders come in every 5 minutes because ozbargain is pretty popular :D

  • +10

I go the other way when they do these deals and add 2 patties to make it a cheap "double Big Mac".

    • +4

      Get out

    • +34

      Because OzBargain.

    • +12

Move on you have no business here.
So you going to neg every deal you don’t like?

      • -5

        I'm negging a terrible deal.

        • No you’re negging because you don’t like the post.
Just because you don’t like it doesn’t mean it’s a terrible deal.
It’s a better deal than most of the rubbish that’s posted here.

As is said before, move along!! And take your neg with you

        • +8

Any bargain, despite the measures you go to, is a bargain. Calling this deal 'terrible' is debatable, since it is your opinion.

        • It's free… It's objectively a good deal. Personally I'd rather have the patties though.

    • +4

Hand in your OzB license now.

      • +2

I bet you a mcpickle burger none of you are actually going to go order a bun with pickles and onion and lettuce.

    • +2

Not everyone eats meat, this is great if you don't

      • No its not.

My vegan housemate would not want this if i bought it home.

        • Well, of course not. (The bun has egg in it.) ;-D

    • +5

      This is stupid.

      Stupid?

      THIS. IS. OZBARGAIN!!!

      Why? Why do this?

Do you even know what site you're on mate? =p

  • +6

I had one of these the other day. I ordered a Big Mac and removed 1 beef patty to make it a bit cheaper (I had ordered other food as well), they took both patties off. I was annoyed but I ate it anyway and it was actually surprisingly good. The beef doesn't actually add that much to the Big Mac imo, the sauce and onions are the real star.

Would I order it deliberately? No. But for those that are really skint, go for it, it's not bad.

    • +1

Same thing happened to me in the past. I went back and got a replacement for free with both patties.

      • Did you at least eat half of it? :p

    • Lol @ eating it anyway.

      Surely it wasn't filling?

      • I had other food anyway, the half big mac was just to round out the meal, so it was fine.

      • I'd guess that the bread, cheese & sauce actually make for a lot of nutritional content without the beef. I don't know the numbers on kilojoules but sometimes their patties are so thin and bland, it might as well be absent.

  • +2

    Stop it. Stop it now.

  • +11

The first time with the Quarter Pounder was funny and original.

This deal lacks both of those traits. Are you going to post the free Cheeseburger 'hack' too?

    • -4

I’m sorry you feel this way about this post. If you don’t like it then move on! You don’t have to criticise everything you see because someone actually put in the effort to create this post.

      • +6

someone actually put in the effort to create this post.

The post took you what 3 minutes to create? You stole the idea.

You don't make a deal every time you can remove the meat on a burger and get it free? Why didn't you do months before? Oh, I know why. It's because you wanted to get on the vote train. Pity it hasn't worked for you.

      • +1

While you have a somewhat fair point calling this post 'effort' is laughable.

  • +1

Having Sauerkraut or lions mane mushies might be wierd, but Lettuce, Pickle, Cheese, and Onion is standard fill.
I'm plussing, a free snack on the road is a good find.

  • +3

I didn't see any other deal and thought this was funny and amusing.

  • +4

Have an upvote for the haters!

  • +22

Well to be perfectly honest, in my humble opinion, of course without offending anyone who thinks differently from my point of view, but also by looking into this matter in a different perspective and without being condemning of one's view's and by trying to make it objectified, and by considering each and every one's valid opinion, I honestly believe that I completely forgot what I was going to say.

    • +5

I got far too invested in this comment…

    • This right here.. Is the best comment on the internet. Well done.

      • +3

It's a copy paste job, see it on Facebook all the time.

    • Lol have a +1, you got me

I was expecting a savage ending because of the lead up

Free ploughman's lunch. What's not to love.

    • Thanks for linking that, you saved me a lot of time :)

  • Hmm hopefully the kids that hang out in the my local Macca's car park at night don't find out about this… Twenty free burgers later…

  • I've done this before with some other burger deal from maccers.. Since I order another burger at the the cost of the first burger (free) was hidden.

Hidden till some pesky accountant did the maths figured it out I guess lol, since it didnt work the next week.

  • +1

    Mmm a mcbread burger!

  • I have to say I really dislike McDonald's but with a deal like this you just have to up vote! +1

Homeless food vans offer free food with meat, all you can carry (Last stop, they need to get rid of it or throw it out)

We are not talking about basic food, all donated from restaurants, sandwich shops (Bluebag, Melbourne Convention Centre etc) and those vans that visit business parks.. Tasty Trucks, for any type of hot pies you want.

The Friday BBQ's at different locations, Salads, Steak/Snags and even Desert, freshly cooked BBQ meat.

Catch the Ethic church groups at locations, you will not go away hungry and a spicy hot meal.

Free Soup/Coffee/Tea/Loaves of bread always available.

All free and better than hacking Maccas for something that is not food.

Heck if you can't afford to buy food, there are even Mobile Washing Machine vans that will clean your clothes while you eat.

    • Being homeless sounds like hard work

  • “please move on an don’t criticise this post” - really? Are we all snowflakes here?

    • +1

Have you not seen the comments section when a vegan restaurant runs a promotion?

  • +4

    :O Not again…

    • +2

Do you have to eat all of the leftover meat patties?

      • -1

The joke was in the word "Meat" right?

  • +1

Sometimes coz of abuse they disable ordering through app or kiosk!

    • Damn how many times a day do they do this?

  • +1

Because of Oz Bargain trolling Maccas will never offer $2 burgers again

  • Is there a place here where i can barf and show it to people?

  • +1

Thanks, I’ll redeem my free chicken strips from Oporto tmr. Was thinking today but this makes tmr a better day for it

    • Get the free big mac and get your free chicken strips to combine into a free double mcChicken.

  • -5

This isn’t how the system (kiosk) is intended to work. Not a deal

  • Is this a bug or a feature?

    • McD: bug.
      OzB: feature.

  • Looks like quarter pounder today not big mac

  • -3

    Fake deal, doesn't exist

    • Deal doesn't work. The app makes me add money if i want to add lettuce.

Is there a way to add for free?
