Absolutely loved this movie (and I've been screaming "BRING BACK TOBEY AND RAIMI" since 2010 daily), so tempted to grab the Blu Ray for 21 bucks, but like, it's gonna end up on one of them streaming services anyway and I've really lost interest in physical media. But then again, it's an absolutely fantastic movie I can't wait to rewatch a million times with my kiddo how I used to rewatch Spidey 1/2 as a kid myself.

I don't know. Decisions, decisions! Great price either way though.

    • pre order first n cancel later if u dont want it

    • The recent reboots suck and lost the whole premise behind Peter Parker: He was a clumsy nerd. Not some try-hard cool guy like Garfield or Holland. Which is a nice touch that the Spiderverse paid tribute to Tobey and the inverted kiss scene.

Spider-Verse is VERY good, definitely worth checking out. I won't dip into spoiler territory, but if it weren't for the web shooters, you could 100% pretend this is a continuation of the Tobey Trilogy, this is about as close to Spider-Man 4 as we're likely to get any time soon.

PS, you can always do what I do, and pretend some of Peter's struggles in life made him lose part of his powers again, forcing him to make web shooters for himself, and that this is in fact Tobey Maguire's Peter's triumphant return.

      • I don't think Peter Parker was clumsy in the comics, though definitely a nerd, he often thought about smacking around the bullies too, without actually doing it. He also liked the ladies and was always trying his luck with them. I think Tobey Maguires bumbling Peter Parker wasn't true to the comic version of Peter Parker, though I still enjoyed it.

Is this a cartoon like Superfriends?

    • It's as much like 'Superfriends' as 'Lord of the Rings' is like 'Tinkerbell and the Secret of the Wings'. Same genre, completely different level.

Don't ever bring a masterpiece like Tinkerbell into the same conversation as that god awful nerdfest Lord of the Rings. Stupid ass movie. Tinkerbell is way cool.

  • I thought this was the best movie to release last year, worth the buy.

Infinity war was the best movie last year.
Followed by Mission Impossible Fallout IMO

      • Hmmmm yeah you could be right, loved both of those. Well best animated film hands down :P
