  • Best headset for PS4 IMO

    • -1

It doesn't do virtual surround on PS4 without an additional mixer though right?

      • It should through Dolby. You set Dolby in your PS4 audio settings and then go optical out from the PS4 into the Thresher Ultimate base station (station acts as a mixer).

**edit: You might need a separate optical audio cable, no mention whether it comes with one on Razer's website.

        • Base station should have a optical cable
The cheaper 7.1 headset (without base station) comes with dongle and optical cable

          • @Alpha9: So this version Does have a dongle for 7.1 or you have to configure it through the ps4? (which I have tried previsouly with my steelseries and it didnt work so well)

Id prefer just plug and play 7.1 surround

            • @mavis30551: The cheaper model uses a dongle because it doesn't come with a base stand.

The Thresher Ultimate base stand is the dongle.

            • @mavis30551: Try PC Treasure on eBay, think they are about $160-$170
They have great customer service as well

On the dongle version not the ultimates

  • next cheapest is $289 shipped from kogan

  • Who wants to chip in for a "group" membership? ^_^

  • +3

$50 membership kind of kills it. Considering I doubt Ill ever buy from them again.

  • can someone please confirm if this deal is still on?
