Just saw this printer at half price at Sunshine Victoria store. They have at least 50 avaialble at the moment. Website is showing the full price so don't know if this deal is available at other stores or not.

How many pages do the normal cartridges do?
Starter cartridges are rated for 110 pages vs the 190 on a normal one. Decent deal if you don't mind the wastefulness of buying a new printer when you need new ink.

I haven't bought one for quite a few years but recall never getting more than 50 pages out of them before one of the colours finished…
I've now switched to a continuous ink printer.
That makes sense. Although rated for 110 but obviously its gonna stop working when any of the color finishes.
Library charges 0.20 per A4 page so if this prints 100 pages then cost is almost same plus you get scanner and convinience of printing at home. Not bad. Can anyone tell me how often should I print a page to avoid ink drying up? I dont need printing very often so its gonna be unused for weeks.
Ozbargainer's don't buy it for printing, they buy it for scanning only I guess. Lol

uses the #63 cartridge. woolies often has 2 for $48 offers on HP cartridges and you can get $20 back from HP
HP printers are meh! at any price point. Just not worth the effort of opening the box
My bigw at Erina Fair NSW has had this deal for a while. Cheaper than new cartridges although pre-packaged cartridges are said to not be 100% full.
That's about a 1/4 of the price of the replacement ink cartridges you will need when the 50 page starter cartridges finish…
