1kg bag Easter Hunt Mini Eggs @ Kmart Eastland - 50 cents each

175

I was Eastland this morning and noticed in Kmart they have heaps and heaps (100's??) of bags of 1kg Easter Hunt mini eggs for 50 cents if you are still after a chocolate fix. They were not a major chocolate brand but for 50 cents a kilo not a bad deal :)

    Chinese chocolate here we come…..

    • -1

Yeah be careful with Kmart. Importing CHINESE made chocolate. I hear Melamine is the only flavor available. And to all those greenie left wing trolls who voted McLarenMercedes down … Meet my middle finger !!

      • +4

I'm a leftie myself though not looney enough to buy Chinese milk confectionary…..and yes these eggs are made in China.

        • +6

Its just in this day and age these trolls love to call other people racists because you happen to mention another country. Being politically correct is more important than being rational and looking after your health.

  • Eastlands Tas?

    • Eastland in Ringwood, Victoria

      • Yeh… Very confusing when I first went looking for their website.

The one in Ringwood is Eastland, the one in Tas is Eastlands….. But I've always called the Ringwood one Eastlands. XD

          How bogan of you!

  • Epic for all those (like my neighbors) doing Easter stuff a week late!

I have a bag of these, they taste like wax, ive eaten 2 from the bag and wont be eating any more, im no chocolate snob, but these aren't nice at all

    • +7

See up top. They are made in China, and I would strongly advise going to a doctor if you swallowed any of those eggs.

Save and and give 'em to the kids who come trick or treating in October. Not sure whether yuk chocolate qualifies as a trick or a treat ;-)

  • +11

Yeah I'm not sure if these are the same as my Dad bought, but they're awful. They have that cheap oil/chalk texture to them - they're not worth ANY price.

    • +11

      Yep they're horrible.

Good ammo if you have a slingshot though.

    • +1

Just give them to young children. They aren't going to care.

      • +2

Same line of thinking behind Chinese lead paint toys. Wouldn't touch these with a 10 foot pole - China puts melamine in everything, particularly milk derived products.

    • +1

      Agreed, they are abysmal.

  • +3

You will get fat regardless of what brand you eat - get the good ones! ;)

    I am against cheap chocolate!!

  • +2

Guess this 1kg bag are the only chocolate left over from easter?

    • +1

      One should wonder why.

  • +6

these chocolates are really disgusting, we had it for our easter egg hunt. nobody ate them.

    • +1

i think you nailed it right there; good for easter egg hunts for the kids and NOTHING else…. :U

  • +1

    made in china probs…

Terrible chocolate is never a good deal.

  • +1

All the good brands at my local stores have mostly gone. It's only the dodgy lookin stuff and the gluten free garbage etc. that's left. Except Woolies. They had ONE Cadbury Old Gold egg amongst all the crap. And a girl was further marking them down as I walked past, so there's good bargains to be had pretty much anywhere they sell easter eggs.

  • +2

Waxy with no flavour, just about worth 50c if you have no tastebuds otherwise steer clear or use for decoration.

  • +1

Yes it is a good price, however those dreaded words "compound chocolate" ie vegetable fat, should ring alarm bells here. Stick to cadbury, red tulip or the known brands…They are reducing it here at Coles (half price currently), and still a lot of stock (about 5 metres of shelf). Hopefully further reductions will happen this week.

    Delicious!. Picked up 10 bags.

    • +1

      Nice try Kmart Eastland!

      • +2

        lol, busted :)

  • +4

I don't know if any other Woolies have them, but I picked up some nut-free Chocolate from a company called 'Macro'. They're the hollow egg-carton eggs (12) reduced to $2. I wasn't sure about them so only bought one at first, but they're great!

EDIT: Should have mentioned that Woolies Armadale (WA) had plenty left

Cheap and nasty chocolate is cheap and nasty.

  • I brought these for $2 a bag. there alright but, nothing beats the cadbury, lindt ones
I picked up a bargain at Target wetherill park today; had the easter cadbury carmello, eggosaurus and favourites boxes for .86c. bargain……

  • +2

Bought them before Easter as we thought they were a good buy for the price. Tasted like wax. Threw most of the bag out. Did not even want to give them to anyone else to eat they were that bad.

  • +2

Saw these the other day at my local kmart the wrapping reminds me of the $2 shop eggs which taste crap. No thanks.

  • the kmart at bondi had heritage branded eggs for 50c - i bought a bunch though hoping they're not made in china

  • +3

Good for throwing at people? :D

  • I work at Kmart, and I am quite happy to let you all know these are disgusting lol

  • Marion (SA) are selling boxes and boxes of these for only 25cents now!!! Deff a bargain to replace bouncy balls.
