    Prices would be nice

  • First item is a repost. (like I did before)

  • Great buys, just splurged a whole lot on ink cartridges.

  • I believe last time the harddrive was posted, it was ACT/NSW only, but it's now Vic, Tas and SA too. Shipping is $5.50 or $11 depending on post code.

And postage is still free for regional areas for orders over $55, making it a nice saving.

  • The HDD is $29.00 + $5.50 postage.

Too bad they don't accept Pay Pal.
edit: Plus they don't have the HP 61 inks I need.

    • Too bad they don't accept Pay Pal.

      Use a credit card.

There is no advantage to using paypal

The Brother 2240D for $99 seems to be a good deal too:

D is for duplex. Staticice came up with $101 as the lowest elsewhere.

Dam the free shipping seems like an awesome deal but they don't ship to bris :(

    • That really really sucks! why no Qld delivery? What is this the 90's?

      • +1

Because we in QLD are considered as a separate country. Didn't you know that QLD declared independence from Australia about 6 months ago. New currency is being rolled out as we speak and border crossings with passport control will be effective as of 1st July.

        • Yeah, will I hear that Big Mal plans on keeping the Origin trophy for the next 5 years, so we might as be!

        • Yes its that Queensland spirit that Anna Bligh believes isn't the same anywhere else in Australia, we just cough up money while they spend it….

  • Hard drive has just gone out of stock :( Good deal though

EDIT: Must have been a blip…just ordered one with no difficulties. Thanks for the link to the Brother 2240D in the comments above: impulse purchased and free shipping once the order was over $55!

  • Its still in stock at 12:06 pm Melbourne time

  • I ordered some toner to get the free icubic system (http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/43185), it's great. Delivery was fast (I'm in Sydney), though they did stuff the bill up and charge me for the icubic - but immediately refunded that - at least said they did, I haven't checked it yet.
I price matched because their prices on toner are rubbish, paid about $50 less than their price and the pricematching process was really easy, no stuffing around like officeworks did last time I tried with them.
So a 50/50 experience with them, but would use again if the price/offer was right.

  • oh how times have changed :)

  • Anyone know the actual drive they are using? And is it a SATA interface or USB only interface?

    TIA!

  • Also would like to know if USB uses a Y cable or not, that it can run power and data through the one USB connection?

  • checkout system is letting me add more than 1 hdd to checkout, which qualifies for free shipping, do you think it will work?

    • +1

No, order will go through but you will later get a call to tell you that its strictly one per customer and the second HDD will then be cancelled. You may not even get the phone call but the order will be amended.

See the other thread regarding 2 HDD's, and peoples experiences.

      • Some horror experiences by other posters trying to do this shudders. Damn, already put my order thru.
It would be nice if i could cancel or at the very least amend my order online. The $58 payment is already pending in my account so they better call me first thing tomorrow or just cancel it altogether. Will not tolerate any uninformed changes to my order or hijacking of my CC details. Their system should impose quantity locks during checkout, if they want to get serious about "1 order per customer" policies.

  • no shipping to WA?! How retarded is this website.

  • Looks like the offer has been extended, the offer previously mentioned the expiry as 1.05.2011, now its 15.05.2011, and they have a decent amount of stock by the looks of it.

    • true, looks like they received more stock or they anticipated that they'd sell out quicker. hope my order goes thru.

  • awesome deal.

  • Oh HELL yes!

Bought the $29 printer, the $29 HDD and I get a free box of paper, AND it's delivered for free.

Can't argue with that value. Well you could…but you'd be a tool.

    • did you make the amount over $69 so you could get the free iCubic?

  • I made an order with them on the 30th. Couldn't find delivery time frames on their website as I'm in "regional" victoria. So I emailed them and here's what they said:

"We have only just opened the portal to supply to VIC customers and have experienced a very high volume of orders which exhausted that warehouse's quantity of 320GBHDD that is one of the items in your order.

We have to transfer stock down to our VIC warehouse from NSW and then the orders taken over the weekend will be released, however this may still take a couple of days to complete the process, delivery of all orders containg the 320GBHDD are at this point expected to be completed by Thursday 5th May and we are contacting all customers to let them know.

Rest assured your order has been logged with our system and once stock levels are sufficient to cover order quantities, your order will be released immediately.

We apologise for the inconvenience in regards to this order and we are doing everything we can to get the orders out to our new VIC customers ASAP."

So everyone who ordered on the weekend and live in VIC should get it by Thursday.

    • Got the same courtesy call. Told him no problem and appreciated the call. Good impression of the company so far.

  • Had to email them again on Friday as I hadn't received an email regarding tracking. I was under the impression that they were going to ship them by Thursday going by their previous email. They replied saying that they shipped my (& other VIC) order/s today. As I'm located in regional VIC they advised that it usually takes 3 days but have pushed for my order to be "priority freighted" so I should receive it by Monday. At least their trying to make up for the delay. They also said they would contact me personally with the tracking number & approx delivery time (if available) on Monday morning. Very courteous of them.
