    As long as you run ChromeOS or Linux it will be fine, but for Windows you can simply skip all the updates…

    My kid has a comparable 32GB machine for school.

    I ran the upgrade to Win10 1809, installed all updates, told it to delete unneeded files, and had 13GB free!
    So plenty left for Office 365 and a few other apps needed.
    It has an SD card for large media and backups, but most data will be "in the cloud".

    Next major OS upgrade, I'll probably wipe it and do a clean install from ISO.

    N4100 has a passmark of 2300, which is OK for windows & office.

  Some 2nd hand, 4th gen i5, grade A, ultrabook with similar spec (most likely better storage) on ebay are cheaper than this and way more powerful

  These laptops shouldn't exist, Windows 10 and all the necessary updates alone is guaranteed to use -25GB of storage and celeron cpu's have always sucked from the dawn of time, these laptops aren't even good for school use
