  • Edit: Previous deal was better.

    I feel better now. 😊

    • Sure was ;) that price was very decent

  • -2

    Before current ebay discount
    Camera $207
    Filter Kit - $24.50
    SD Card - $20
    Wiring Kit - $20
    Remote - $30

Works about the same if you buy all them separately

    • where did you get the price from? With the same seller with express post? You are not comparing with overseas seller, are you?

      • Nope picked all local Aus sellers. Dont get me wrong the price is good, but people might not want all the accessories.

i.e. 30 bux for a bluetooth remote is a bit overkill.

Any deal for a Base A129 Duo + CPL filter?

        • +2

All good, but from what I know, these guys are the only local seller on ebay with Viofo Australia covered, lot of other sellers claimed local but all drop shippers. So be careful when choosing the right sellers.

    • That's about $50 more and idk about other people but 50 bucks more isn't "about the same" to me

  • It’s very good one ….Max 256 GB enough . Very good quality

  • This guy is a nice seller. He imports Chinese products from overseas and makes a killing. He drive a nice X5 M series Sports SUV too and is always willing to click and collect at the local service station.

    • That's very nice of him to offer click and collect option.

      • +1

He can also help install it (not the hardwire option) too if you're struggling.

    • +1

      High yield investment paid off!

    • are you sure about the installation?

      • Ask him. Depends if he's busy or not.

        • -4

Might be busy collecting A2 baby milk tins from woolies.

    • +1

He drives a Sports Sport Utility Vehicle? Must be super sporty.

        • Are you the seller?

      • Lol.. super SUV, isn’t that suppose to be my hilux?

    • +5

"This guy is a nice seller" this I agree with. Good customer service.
I am not so sure about he subsequent the weird flex parts..

  • Has anyone tried to hard wire this on cx5?

    • Yep got it in mine.

      • +2

Any video tips that you follow? Which fuse did you change?

        • ☝🏻 What he said!

I managed to hardwire mine, I used the fuse that powers the ciggie port. But I want to hardwire it so that it does time lapse when the car is parked/off.

          Thanks!

  • Careful now …. bought mine bout 6 months back and back camera insert where the cord goes in is very weak. Broke after 2nd week… guy still in process of sending me 2nd back camera replacement and told me the older models r weak… I did take 3 months to make a complaint though they still took 2 months to sort replacement

  • @seller Jumped the gun a while ago and bought the camera and and sd card but neglected to install. Would you be able to quote me a price for hardwire kit + installation? Happy to come to you otherwise I am about 30 minutes away from five dock.

    • +2

      Perhaps contact seller through ebay?

  • Are you sure this listing comes with Hardwire kit? is in the picture but doesnt really mention in the ebay listing at all?

  • Deal might fair better with this new code.

Doesn't seem like they've jacked the price again/yet. Might even help those that only want parts of the kit and not the whole thing.

  • Reviews shows original A119 is best

    • +1

depends if you need dual cam or not

      • Yeah, if you're going for single cam - A119 (either 1440p options, V2 has better mount?) would be better. Dual cam is a different story and this deal would be more convenient. Eg. How are you going to hit the record button for the cam at the back? 2 microsd cards needed, managing power etc. But in terms of image quality, A119 wins easily.

        • Yeah but if you get two A119 can do the same thing just seperate power which is doable consider modern cars have two USB ports you just need to do the clips in the interior roof and skirting to provide power to second unit. $95 x 2 is cheaper than this

I don't trust wifi connectivity all that much between the units. Corded for sure works better.

You don't need to hit the record button the viofo range can record as soon as power kicks in and turn off when power is off…. Same like other dashcams

You probably need someone who knows mechanical electric to hook up that hardware kit though I think its rather useless. I wouldn't attempt to do so yourself to fuse box. You can kill your car

          • @neonlight: Need to factor in convenience. Buying 2 A119 means you need to separately buy a long cable for the back camera unless you happen to have a power point at the back of your car, not to mention complications if you're going to hardwire it. There's no need to press the record button but you still need to press a button to permanently save a video, otherwise it will be overwritten over time. Might be a hassle to do it for the back camera, as far as I know, there is no remote control for A119. Lastly, I feel the A129 rear camera is more discreet being smaller than the front, so less obstructing your rear view.

Anyway the above are the reasons I end up with A129, other people might have different preferences.

Btw installing the hardwire kit to the fusebox is easy. Just need a multimeter to test out which slot has the power turned off when ignition is off, and which one stays on. The hard part is hiding the cables :))

            • @djprima: I see what you mean, although you might avoid warranty by doing stuff like that with the fuse box. Haven't used a multimeter for ages and I'm not game enough to play around with the wiring neither. I thought the cable came with it is long enough to get to the back if you have normal sedan hooking to the back

  • This has just been price jacked to 315 to anticipate the 20% off code.

    Cheaper by a bit.

  • +1
    • Why can't I get this price with the coupon applied. It says "The code can't be applied to your order"

  • Thank you for this. I've been looking for good dual camera setup.

  • Btw Bluetooth remote is not included , I bought one and they email to clarify. Asked for a refund.

    • it wasn’t included in the original listing, isn’t it?

      • It had Bluetooth remote listed.

    • it's useless if you happen to install the camera still within your arm's reach. I bought the remote and it's still sitting in the box

  • Am I correct in that this listing doesn't include a GPS module? Or is it built in to the A129 now unlike the A119 externally mounted one?

    • +1

GPS module is built into the window mount.

  • Great camera, only downside is that it interferes with DAB radio 🙁

  • This seller has always jacked up his prices for the 20% eBay sales (see previous sale).
I contacted eBay about this last time and eBay sent me a $20 voucher after this seller cancelled my last order with no explanation and yet is still selling the same item. No response from the seller ATT.
I wonder if it's worth the time raising this with the ACCC as was suggested in the previous comment. 🤔

    • The seller's response to my enquiry this time:

In order to participate ebay promo sales, for their 20% off sale we will need to cover 15% In order to be in the game, therefore for bigger exposure and marketing needs, we will have to adjust the price a bit to be able get into the game and not to lose at the same time, simply due to our original sales price has very low profit margin(about 5%). You can of course to purchase after the sale period where price will be adjusted to be normal and in that case whatever the sale price will be, our profit margin will remain ours. Hope that make sense to you. Thanks.

Nice of them to admit what they do and to provide a written record of it 😉 🤫 🤭

      • be a man and move on. it is their entire rights to do so if they dont want to lose money in the sales promo cause their initial selling margin was too low,its their opportunity to raise the price and to be in the game to get a bigger exposure which is fair. if the price isnt good for ya,just shop else where, spend ya time wisely not to pick sth like this, heaps bigger vendors raise their prices every now then, whats the big deal. let them play and do your own shopping smartly, simple as that.

      • I purchased the Duo / 64GB card at the 10% site wide sale… Then 2 days a 15% off coupon kicked in.
The item arrived already and I asked the seller to refund / Return the 10% sale. I purchased the 15% off and they marked as "Sent" without sending it.
I think they will cater as best as they can without going into the red.
