    The same cheap chinese quality rebadged tvs, e.g. soniq, teac, bauhn, etc.

    JVC / JVC Kenwood only does awesome inhouse projectors and some audio products.

    This is why even on the Aussie JVC Kenwood site it doesnt list any Flat Screen TVs.

      That’s sad.
      Sad that these top brands barely exist anymore.
      Sad that the brand names are prostituted out to the highest bidder.
      Sad that grandpas like me are hoodwinked into paying more for what is the same chinese junk.

    Is this for a spare room/bedroom? Check on Gumtree….it gets a bad rap, and it requires some time and effort to sift through the junk and over-the-top prices, but I have picked up a couple of brilliant bargain TVs for the bedrooms from there.

      Yeah I've been looking a little. I've said to a few people that now is a great time to buy a second hand TV. Everyone is selling their 1080p TVs from quality brands for peanuts.

        Yep, got myself a 50" Samsung and 46" Panasonic 1080p plasmas for $80 and $70 respectively. Look great in the room and better TVs than all of the LCDs that came for the next five years. Good luck.

  I bought a 55” JVC LED about 2 years ago. It’s developed a weird burn in in odd shapes towards the middle of the screen. Kinda looks like the screen is dirty but you can only see it when the screen is white.

  I paid about $300 and despite the problem, I’m still very happy with the TV.

    Common issue for these TVs..did a quick google and appears this issue appears after 1-2yrs.
