Not a bad price for arguably the best TV available.

  • $3448 from HN with 10% back in gift cards is a better deal

    • Think that gift card promo ended at 11:59 26th Dec unfortunately.

      • It was there like 10 mins ago and now gone haha. I am sure this will come down to $3k region again soon.

    • I’d rather shit in my hands and clap than shop at Harvey Norman.

Are we talking slow clap? Or your baby just crawled for the first time clap?

        • +1

Either variety. After what HN did during COVID I avoid shopping there.

  • Just waiting for a deal on the 97 inch

    • HODL to 2026

      • yes 2026 boxing day! :D

        • Or even better 2027 boxing day

  • Thanks! Appliance Central seems to have a lot of terrible reviews regarding their customer service/delivery times. They use Aramex for delivery :\

Either way at this price I've bit the bullet and pray I won't have too many issues with the actual delivery!

    • Update: TV arrived today i.e. next day delivery!

The best TV available in Australia.

    • With 4 HDMI 2.1 ports and full support of Dolby Vision, I'd argue it's the best TV period.

  • Thanks, bought. Now to brush up on what cables and stuff I need, since my last purchase was over 10 years ago.

    • Wouldn't cables be provided in the box?

      • We'll see!

(I was thinking HDMI, whatever the latest standard is)

    • Only the power cable is supplied, no HDMI cables. And you don't really need HDMI 2.1 cables unless your connecting to a high end computer, HDMI 2.0 will be good enough for most

  • Surely it’s not 1 year warranty as per AO website, I thought the G series had 3 years?

As per LG website for 77” G4:

    Warranty Period
1 Year Parts and Labor (including Panel) + 4 Years Panel Replacement (Parts Only)

    • Irrelevant what warranty they offer. Under ACL consumer guarantees this would be considered mid range and 3-5 years would be the expected life expectancy, so if it fails before you can take it up directly with LG and they be forced to offer a remedy.

      • Is that something I want to go through though, if it’s so easy to get 3-5 years repairs / replacements why don’t they just offer it with their product. From my experience it can be a power supply or RAM issue simple stuff but on a TV it’s not just the panel.
