  • Found this yesterday. About to head into TGG and see if they'll match it.
5% off gift cards on ShopBack this morning is nice too.

    • JB has occasionally matched the harvey norman 10% gc deal. Try your luck with TGG

      • +2

Got pricebeat at jb. $3969 with bracket and delivery for the 77". No stock till early Jan however.

      • When do you get the gift cards by the way with Harvey Norman? Is it instant?

  • +4

Currently 10% cashback through cashrewards from LG. Plus use the $50 off welcome voucher for new LG accounts. 65" comes down to about $2,495.45 I think? I'm holding out to see if other retailers drop their price as LG has also been matching JB etc.

    • LG currently out of the 83" G4s otherwise i would have made a purchase. %10 cashrewards is excellent

    • +1

Managed to get the 65 for 2495 including shipping at JBHifi

      • How? In store or webchat?

        • In store though if you see below, some have been able to get it for 2400 plus 60 delivery at TGG so paid slightly more.

I actually showed the guy this thread and he was happy to match $2495 pricematching LG with 10% cash back through cashrewards and $50 code first time LG account etc,.

He then came back and included delivery so $2436 for the TV and $59 for delivery.

Videopro have been selling the G4 77 at this price for the last few days too. Comes with $300 store credit card.

    The 4 in C4 refers to 2024.

    • That’s right

The best part was when the buildings fell down.

    • I knew it went up by one every year but never noticed it matched the year

      • The exception was the X series in 2020.

  • So is the verdict dont buy 65" yet?

    • My finger is hovering over the buy now button. Why do you suggest we HODL on the 65"?

      • Just reading the comments gave that vibe

The 2023 55" Samsung OLED (S90C) is $1852 in the Samsung Education show. It's a year older and $2 more, but I know I like the Samsung software, and have never tried LG… Hard to decide between them.

    • +2

Samsung has the better panel unless you're constantly viewing pure white apps/scenery or doing most of your viewing in a very bright room or a lot of direct sunlight, which is a silly use case for any television, and really for either OLED technology.

Both have mediocre software that will lag behind over time despite getting worthwhile updates, and you'll probably bolt and Android TV or Apple TV device before the TV dies to stretch its legs a bit longer as AI compression kicks off.

Get the Samsung, but maybe look at the S90D deals, consumer and EPP/edu. ;)

  • HODL for 77" sub-4k? Anyone think we'll see it soon?

    • Not soon enough!

    • I think even $4k is a lot, I don't think the better picture quality vs a $2k TV is worth the paying double.

Also the price per inch on the 83 is almost double the 55 (simular for the 77 it's just to big a jump from the 65 price in my view).

      • 77 it's just to big a jump from the 65

77" is literally 1.4x the area of the 65" TV, I wouldn't say the price increase is even that notable

    • It was sub 4k for Black Friday. I missed out then but was hoping it would come down again for Boxing Day but no luck yet.

Aren't cheaper Chinese brand OLED panels around the corner?

    • +4

You also have to factor the video processing, features, updates etc. It's great to have an OLED panel but you need it to work correctly.

  • IfI watch shows and sport via streaming (apple tv, stan, disney, binge, paramount) and don't game, how do i choose between this in 65 or the samsung S90D?

  • +1

Just got the 65 inch C4 for $2400 ($60 delivery) from TGG

    • +1

Price beat? Or did you just get a good sales rep who knocked some extra off?

      • Online chat, they initially said 2450 but I hassled down to 2400 flat. Unfortunately none in stock near me so had to opt for delivery. They won't budge on lowering that because it's outsourced.

I also tried with JB and they wouldn't budge at all. The lowest they would go is $2450, on the condition I bought adleast $300 of extra items. Yeah right….

    • +1

Can i get more deets on this please? I am a buyer at 2400 for this. Thank you!!

      • +1

        I just posted above :)

        • Thank you for the info! I had no luck in-store today, closest a salesperson would go was $2740. Not much off sale price at all. I will persist!

  • Anyone managed any deals on 83” ? Tried a few times and getting very little movement

    • keen on 83" too but this price is still too high, 55" and 65"'s probably better priced

    • got 83" for $5100 ~ essentially $4590 delivered .. after 10% back on GC from Harvey

      • Hi, may I ask how you got it for $5100, as that July offer may not happen again ..?

        • Purchased today from Harvey for $5100 with $510 GC hence ~ $4600

          G4 83" for $5100 is a far cry today .
          Purchased C4 83"

And the price includes delivery . Whereas July the price was + Delivery
So essentially the same final price as July deal

          • @Jabberwocky: Thanks, I assume you negotiated the $5100 price in-store? Anyhow too late now as the 10%. gC offer has gone …

            • @raj uk: Yes it was negotiated down at the store.
They always do, as plenty of electronics stores within the same premise where Harvey is (JB - TGG) .

      • Is this the July deal? Would get the 83” for $5100 for sure, g4 or c4?

I think the brightness is not as good on 83” to 77” or did the fix that on this years model?

        • C4 83"
          Purchased today from Harvey.
G4 83" for $5100 is a far cry at least as of today.

Brightness on smaller models was less.
          65-77-83 has the same brightness

          • @Jabberwocky: Yes did some googling after my comment and it was last year that MLA was not included in the 83” G series, they have corrected that this year.

That said, mixed reviews on people fixing it too bright (I would probably be one of those people) for $2K more the G series doesn’t seem to have much more benefit, “C” series is the way to go unless the price point is much closer.

I also missed the 10% gift card from HN to stack on the $5500 price, that makes the C4 83” $5K as long as you need to spend $500 at HN in the next month (or sell the GC for slightly less) seems like you haggled it down further…well done

  • My yard stick is the $1349 deal I got on the 55" A80J a couple of years ago. That was a good one. 65" is on the horizon at some stage.

  • got 83" for $5100 ~ essentially $4590 delivered .. after 10% back on GC from Harvey

  • There were far better deals for the LG 77 & 83 with JB TGG & HN in July this year, still waiting to pull the trigger. Sadly, I think due to AUD drop against the us I won’t see those deals again :-(..

    • +1

Boxing Day sales have been a disappointment this year

    • +1

We missed out on the best deal back then. Hopefully we may see something similar next year.

  • Trying to price match Good Guys vs JB HiFi be like

They could only offer $2600 delivered for 65" for me. Not having much luck.

    • +1

Keep on trying! someone got $2400 above. I'm currently experiencing the same with s90d

    • You could try getting them to price match this deal from VideoPro for $2470 - $2670 for the TV and a $200 gift card.

      https://www.videopro.com.au/product/lg-65-oled65c4psa-oled-e…

    • Keep try at TGG I got it for $2400 this morning! Definitely possible. Not trying to fomo but the three closest stores to me are sold out… Gerry online chat is not up today but if you can go in store they are usually pretty good also…

  • +1

Just got a 65 G4 for 3,080 at TGG in store

    • What'd you do to get that price?

      • Asked the saleslady what’s the lowest price she can do. She said 3,250. I said 3k then she said 3.1 then 3,080 was the final price 😆. I was just gonna get the C4 but she can only do 2.6k

  • +2

Got $2495 delivered in store at Jb for 65” C4. Online they refused to go below 2595 price match.

  • +2

    Managed to get 65" C4 TV for $2,390+$59 delivery = $2,449 @ TGG Caringbah.

Plus Reward Gateway 6.5% cash back; final out of pocket payment ~ $2,290.

  • TGG LG OLED 55” $1850+ (Gold star.extra 5 years) $299+ $59 delivery= $2208
Took a lot of ringing around & negotiating TGG wouldn’t price match AC only with HN. Checked a few TGG stores ETA Feb! Got lucky got the last one at TGG Tugerah.

  • +1

Bought a 65" from TGG for $2599. Do they do refunds after purchase if I show them the invoice or something? It pisses me off realizing I spent $250 extra. Appreciate any help. Thanks!

    • +1

I got mine cancelled. They promised next day delivery which never happened cause they lied about their stock levels.
I did it through their online chat

      • Nah, I'm already past that—mine's already delivered. But Thanks :)

  • LG.com able to do $2515 with free delivery + removal of old appliance so might do that given limited stock around me for TGG (and JB flat out declining to price match)

    • Annoyingly LG VIP only gets the 65" for $3439.21

      • How do I upgrade to VIP? Found the link, but old HSBC key does not work.

    • How did you get this?

  • Can someone recommed a suitable slim mount tlting wall mount bracket for a 65" C4?

  • +1

HN not willing to budge on their price, LG will only give 10% discount on their $2999 price. No one is budging, which is funny considering 2025 stock is incoming and they will be in a tight position to shift stock within the coming two months. $2590 isn't a bad price with free delivery for me from Appliance central - but looking at this thread i know there is better to be had.

  • Just bought a 65" from TGG for 2400 inc delivery via their online chat
Took a couple of tries and got lucky I guess. But he said the "special" is expiring tonight

  • This deal seems back and better than ever

Lg c4 77 for $3972, going to JB today to try get a price match and take this offer.

    • Good luck mate, the contact details show that the company is based in US, but unsure why it’s showing AUD price

      • You are correct 😅 thought it was strange, gave it a go anyway to no avail. I can only get retailers to match appliance centrals pricing, not sure how people are managing to get lower than that.
