Strange there are 2 stores in tiny Totorri (pop 190k) but none in Tokyo! That area is noted for being one of the least populated areas of Japan. Hiking the San'in Kaigan Geopark to Totorri, it was very difficult to find a simple store (sometimes a house in a village served as 'a local shop for local people') & basic restaurants in villages shooed me away hungry! They don't see many Foreigners & are very suspicious of outsiders.
