Not as cheap as the last deal - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/371761
But the price hasn't come back down since, and it still seems to be a pretty good price for a quality product. Other stores are selling it for $320+

Did you RTFM? Manual says to leave the handles off when cooking. Although I find this difficult because sometimes the pots move around when stirring.
You may be stirring the pot here.
Don't remember reading in the manual but I learned soon enough.
Definitely have to put back on when stirring
Is that sarcasm?
Why would you buy a cookware that was so poorly built you had to remove the handle?
Nah it's not sarcasm. Most pots with removable handles, cannot have their handles on when cooking. I vaguely recall the top end (Cristel?) brands also recommending the same.
It's a trade off - space saving convenience, in exchange for not having a handle on the fire (long term)' If you need to do a few big stirs, sure, pop the handle on for stability, stir the pot (like I am now :P) and then remove the handle.
The handle itself is not a very strong point, the fact that it requires a click and pop mechanism, but this allows it to pop on any where. If you follow the Cristel design, then the handles only go on at fixed places on the rim.
Need to remove the handles every time when cooking? This is ridiculous…
what an absurd design. 5 pots/pans and two handles… smh.
Not just two handles, they come with the added feature of melting!
They can't handle the heat. Time for them to get out of the kitchen?
On fire today loops.
This concept (removable handles) won't be for everyone, but makes for easy storage, with a smaller "footprint". If you were preparing a 3-course meal, you might need to get a handle or two more.
i would say its perfect for camping but not at this quantity.
Maybe perfect if you live in a caravan.
What I like about the removable handle, is that it turns the saucepan into a presentable dish to go straight from stove to table. Goes into the dishwasher well without the handle hogging real estate.
Fine for induction: you can leave the handles on no problems whilst cooking
Glad I looked at this post! We already have the set, but didn't read the bit about leaving the handles off while cooking. Will do so from now on.
The removable handles also allow the pots to go into the fridge. There's 2 fridge lids included.
Urgh tefal and their stupid thermal spot. First thing that starts peeling and routines perfectly good pans. I won't be buying Tefal pans until they stop this. Who uses this feature anyway?
Bought these a while ago but have only just started using them. I have to say, they’re superb. Te removing handles is a non-issue and the storage space is minimal.
Damn good quality too.
Use these every night. Very happy, although the plastic on the handles is melting off on my gas cooktop so I need to leave the handles off when cooking
