This is still grammatically incorrect. A 's suffix is supposed to indicate ownership e.g. I went to Bobby's house - Bobby owns the house. Even if the person who owned the store was named Myer, you still wouldn't say "I'm going to Myer's" in the same way you don't say "I'm going to Harvey Norman's or Bing Lee's".
In this case, the object (the department store) is understood from the context although not actually written:
"I am am going to Myer's (department store)"
The possessive apostrophe is correct as the Myer family actually owned Myer, the department stores, originally.
I see it referred to as Myers with great frequency… apostrophe is a red herring
