  Paid $831 Jan 2018 and $768 Nov 2016, using eBay discount codes at the time. Can't fault the product at this price range and both haven't missed a beat. Does everything that my brother's machine does which he paid over $2000 for.

    You can use the same code to get a discount on the tiled version. The discount is $200 off.

    The one with the tiled version is the same pool cleaner with a different roller. It comes assembled from the factory as a tiled version.

  Anyone got a service manual for one of these? I love mine but it does need some TLC that I can happily do myself.

  In the 3 years I have had mine it has gone back for repair 3 times. The track comes off when you put it in wall climb mode. And the cable twists so much it ends up going around in circles. In my opinion look for another model.

    Thank you for this, have had the same issue with the cable on my austral RF cleaner, drives me nuts. Also sounds like similar quality issues, hence me looking for a new pool cleaner. Would appreciate recommendations. Absolutely do not recommend austral unfortunately.

  It’s fairly heavy at 9.8kg - getting it out of the pool with water in it might be an issue for some.

  A lighter alternative from Zodiac is the TX35 (5.5kgs) which is an “in store only” product, ranging upwards from about $1k. That comes with a caddy and a 16m cable, versus 15m for the CX20.

  I recently bought a Zodiac OT15 which is the cheaper online version of the TX35 - $890-ish on eBay, so look for the sales. It doesn’t have the caddy and has a 14m cable. Seems to do the job.

  The CX20 talks about a “cyclonic suction” which is not mentioned on the TX35/OT15 range, so maybe the CX20 range has better performance built into its extra weight.

  Thanks OP. Perfect timing for me. Purchased. Would have loved to have seen an extended warranty option based on all the reviews, but fingers crossed it lasts a long time.
