The Bosch Quigo Plus is a self-levelling cross line laser which projects two perfectly horizontal and vertical lines onto any wall. With clear laser visibility up to 7 metres with markings at equal distances, the Quigo Plus is ideal for all levelling jobs around the home, from hanging pictures straight on the wall to levelling tiles. Easy to use: The sliding switch makes the Quigo quick and simple to use, with the cross line laser being projected onto any surface as soon as the sliding switch is opened. This sliding switch makes the Quigo a suitable tool for anyone to use, even those without much previous DIY experience. The sliding switch also doubles up as a protective cover to avoid the laser being damaged whilst in transit or storage. Sloping function: As well as being self-levelling, the Bosch Quigo Plus also has a sloping function which means that the cross line locks into position when tilted at an angle to maintain the perfect 90 degree angles. This means that it's also ideal for applications such as hanging pictures in line the stairs. A red LED light on top blinks to make clear that it's locking system for slope function is in use as it's outside of the +/-4 degree self-levelling range. The Quigo also simplifies more practical jobs, such as the fitting of bathroom or kitchen cabinets, putting up perfectly placed shelves, and more. It is even ideal for hanging picture frames on your wall, or positioning mirrors. The Quigo's long working range with a line length of up to 7 metres means that you don't have to apply it repeatedly like you do with a spirit level. The line will form as far as you need it, all by itself. This means you can get your home looking exactly how you like it, with minimal effort. This seems mildly useful, so I bought it. I definitely don't need it though.

Bought one in the last deal, love it. Saves me a lot of effort making sure things are level (frames, tv mounting etc)

I've had a laser line level for about 5-6 years now and it's hands down the best tool I've ever bought. You will be amazed at what you can use it for from hanging pictures, drilling holes etc. I can't swear to how good this one is but my Bosch has been going strong
      for years.

      • I use it all the time.

      • Thanks - the more I think about it the more uses I can think of. Drilling holes in a straight line is a good one.

  • from Bosch website

    Accuracy ± 0,8 mm/m

    .

    • So at 7 meteres those 0.8mm/m come quite visible?

      • yep.

        $100 laser levels achieve 0.2mm/m

depends on what you are doing as to how important it is
        .

        • Any you recommend? We're just started turning a truck trailer into a little house at the moment

  • I'm guessing this wouldn't work to well outside?

    • Correct. 7 meter range means low power laser

    • I would think just get pretty close when you're outside, can't imagine many applications where you would need to be that far away?

  • Hmm, I can't access the website. Getting hit hard?

I have one of these - impulse buy I regret.

Buy a better unit that can be used outside. This one has limited indoor use.

    • same here. The tripod's come in handy. Need to hang some stuff one day I suppose

    • Agreed

  • BOOM, perfect timing OP.
Just about to renovate the bathrooms and laundry.

  • If these are no good outside, can anyone recommend a unit suitable for leveling out footings for a 5m x 5m deck?
Is something like this any good? Bosch Professional Cross Line Laser with Tripod or do I need to spend more?

    • I would like to know too

    • String line, measuring tape and a lot of patience

      • lol that's how the old man wants to do it

Was just looking at this site and it seems the Dewalt picks up the gong https://www.pyracantha.co.uk/laser-level-reviews/

Model they are talking about is the Dewalt DW088K-XJ which can be had for around 150 on fleabay from US and singapore.

Without researching, I cant suggest a specific model, but make sure you get a green laser not a red laser.

I recently got a green Dewalt laser from Bunnings for $149 (normal price) and have already used it 2 or 3 times for projects that previously relied on older methods.

You will definitely find a use for a laser level. How much you spend depends how big the job is and whether it is inside or outside.

In my comment above, I was referring to outside use specifically in response to Dontreadthis.

  • Darn it, out of stock.
