you got under 2 hours if you want this deal Samsung Tab S4 64GB Wi-Fi Black $719.20, 256GB Wi-Fi Black $799.20, 256GB 4G $999.20 (+ $10 Postage, Free C&C) @ Bing Lee eBay
That was actually a fairly decent deal.
I have the 4G/256. I haven't used it all that much but I love the screen. And I like using it in Dex mode with a mouse. You can actually use it as a theoretical laptop replacement (though it will never be as handy as a real laptop unless you get a USB dock/hub plus its smaller size). This is more than you can say for the iPad Pro which has no mouse support or USB storage support.
As a movie watching device on a plane, it's fantastic.
Can I price match at officeworks? The members asked.
Can i claim trs? Will the bargain last?Seems so expensive? Have tablet RRPs just gone up with each generation or something?
What you are really getting for your coin over cheaper cousins is:
2,560 x 1,600 pixel AMOLED screen
4GB
64GB or 256GB (instead of say 32GB onboard)
powerful octa-core Snapdragon 835 under the hood instead of a mid-tier one.
Comes with S Pen and DeX support. Cheaper tablets don't have this option.
Support for fast charging.
While the Tab S4 has 13MP rear camera and a front-facing 8MP, the Tab A (for example) gets by with a 8MP (rear) and 5MP (front) camera system. While all those are nice to have, I just can't see this thing worth the $.
Just go buy a thin touchscreen pc for the same price, comes with a SDCard so you can bump up the memory for $60 or so.
Yep. Agree completely. Just wanted to point out that not all tablets are created equal.. Had a conversation recently with a family member. They couldn't see the difference between a $50 tablet and a $1000 tablet. Oh there is a substantial difference. :)
@seamonkey: This. I wanted a tablet that was going to go the miles and i felt like the cost difference between the Tab A and the S4 were significant, but in the end i went with the S4. Tbh, just the screen alone is worth it imho, it was the main thing that i was thinking about after testing the A and S4. But other people might think otherwise!

Something like this?
That thin touchscreen PC will be running Windows, which while more useful as a laptop, is probably not going to run very smoothly at ~$900. Windows is a more demanding OS than Android. It will probably be the very slow type eMMC and scaling will not be good.
@lostn: I would prefer to use Android rather than Windows as my everyday computer.
In 2012 the Nexus 10 was released at $399 (US), 10 inch tablet at a resolution of 2560x1600, 6 and half years later the price has doubled for a high end Android tablet. I think the RRP's have gone up dramatically.
I think the biggest thing you are paying for here is S Pen and Dex support.

Yoga Tab 3 Plus for $375.50 has the following specs:
Qualcomm 652 (4C, 1.8GHz), 10.1" WQXGA (2560x1600) IPS, Adreno 510 GPU, 10-point Multi-touch, 3GB RAM, 32GB storage, 9300mAh Battery, Front 5.0MP / Rear 13.0MP, Bluetooth 4.0.Though, you only want the Lenovo if you are happy to install a Custom ROM.
Not a bad price if that includes the s pen
It does. But it's been cheaper. And the JBL ANC headphones were thrown in.
Would you like them
In a house?
Would you like them
With a mouse?
