I remember from last time, they seemed cheap, but then they hammer you with their fees, so this voucher would effectively cover some of their processing costs leaving you with $14.10 :)
Did a test booking:
Webjet Booking Price Guarantee $ 12.95
Webjet Processing Fee $ 22.95
The problem is you have to make two bookings to take advantage of this, thus actually outweighing the benefit of the voucher, plus the usual issues with tying you to need to book through someone specific.
Sorry, good effort, but I don't see this as a bargain.
I agree. This isn't a great bargain for two simple reasons:
1) Having to book with one specific airline
2) Webjet's processing fee's are so high, which, as orbital has already stated, only leaves you effectively with a $14.10 coupon.
Just doing a quick search right now for a one-way to Auckland on 28th April, Pacific Blue's (I'm assuming this is for Virgin Blue's international version, which is Pacific Blue) cheapest ticket is $289 without baggage allowance. $289 minus $14.10 is $274.90.
Both Emirates (which should be on the A380 if I'm not mistaken) and Jetstar are cheaper. Yes, I'm only looking at one route, but the scope is simply too specific and too small + the high fees for this to be a reasonable bargain. Only good if for whatever reason you absolutely want to fly Pacific Blue.
Good find if you are going to NZ - Probably handy to have put this in the title though.
