  • Feels like you are paying for the portable battery, and get some free wireless earbuds with it. The earbuds say 2.5 hours of listening time which is quite low compared to QCY alternatives at this price.

    • which QCY ones would you recommend?

      • +1

The one which box has a lid, not sure which model is that

        • Check that they have Bluetooth 5.0 though. I know one of the QCY ones are still on BT 4.2 which is no bueno.

          • +2

@HighAndDry: Yes, i know you're strong advocate of Bluetooth 5.0 or higher.

            • @tempura: Hahah I think I have been banging on that drum a bit last couple of days. But in true wireless earphones, it's seriously important.

              • @HighAndDry: It's not as important as you think. Battery isn't affected much and Build quality isn't affected, most importantly connection reliability isn't affected. These cheap buds remain the same.

  • +2

I've got these. They don't sit in the charging case properly. I have to put something on top of the earphones to hold it down. So they can charge.

QCY T1C are more comfy and sound a bit better.

    • T1C got no cover for the box?

      • +1

I have the QCY T1C ear buds. I have them in my bag with my keys and have never had an issue with them falling out as the magnet that holds them is fairly strong.

Sound is good but the main downside is lack of noise cancelling for calls. Very difficult for the person on the other end of the line to hear you if you are in an area with moderate noise levels.

    • One of my friends has these, has the same problem

Have been trying, and failing, to find the i10 TWS (highly rated Airpod knockoffs) for good price. Somebody worked his/her magic!

      • +1

The white ones say they have BT 5.1, whereas the black one say only BT5.0. I'm not personally sure of the difference, but 5.1 should be better if just because it's newer. The white ones are also cheaper, and I don't care about colour, so if you're deciding between the two, I'd go the white ones hands down. The photos also make the white ones look more recessed into the case, which should help with accidentally pressing them when they're stored, so another reason to go with those.

        • White one sucks as no cover, especially if put in bag, potentially fall off and not charging.

          • +1

@tempura: Between the two Seymore linked, neither of them have a cover - they're both T1Cs. But the lack of cover only means you might press the button when in a bag or your pocket. The magnetic attachment is good enough they've never fallen out of the case for me.

        • Just FYI, most of what BT 5 is, is optional requirements of the standard. Nearly every device that is cheap improves on nothing from 4.2. Range, efficiency, reliability are all optional as part of the standard. So before you say btx.x is better, you would need to actually test what they implemented. Let alone most phones don't even have these bt5 features. Pixels and galaxies don't support it.

  • calls only through one pod.
