We own a Soundtouch 20 series 2.
I bought a display model from JB HiFi for around $250 a few years ago.

Solid product, good product support (it’s been a few years since the product was discontinued and we are still getting software/firmware updates regularly).
No issues whatsoever. It sits in the living room and has more than enough power to fill the room, and for listening from the kitchen close by.

Sound quality: Good sound, bass has some punch, maybe the highs slightly rolled-off at the top, the lows rolled-off at the bottom.
Nothing inoffensive. Just a bit bland.
We use it for background music (ABC Classic digital radio), and at times with AirPlay while in the kitchen.
Great product.

    • Sorry originally posted deal with wrong link to less than 10 available stock, has been corrected now.

    • OP, you should combine the two deals you've posted into one deal. You can list two or three items in the title, with their prices. Also, there's a place you've to insert the code in the post so that it's displayed like all codes are displayed in other posts. You don't need to add the code in the title.

      • Thanks for the tips, I will make sure to do it next time, or tomorrow if I have the time.
I just thought it would be more accessible/convenient if it was separated into 2 posts.

Regarding the code: I tried that a few times in other posts, and I would get a message saying I could not post because of a conflict. (Your code has already been associated with the store)

        • It seems you've fixed the code issue now.

          • @AussieDaddy: Yes it had no issues going through when editing an already posted deal.
This was done for me by a moderator in previous deal posts, so I thought I’d give it a try.
Not sure what the issue was but trying to add the code when posting the deal fresh, produced an error message. It happened a for a few deals so I thought it was a bug.

  • I got a Soundtouch 30 series 3 from Myer for free 2 years ago due to a refund error. Best money I ever spent and bargain of the year.

  • I would not waste my money on this product, updates are slow and supported services are very few. I should have spent my money on Sonos.
Waiting on Airplay 2 support, only Amazon and Spotify streaming supported. Mobile app crashes regularly. I have the Soundtouch 30 and 20.

    • Updates have been quite regular in my experience for Soundtouch 20 series 2.
For a product like this an update every 4-8 months I reckon is quite good. Had a few issues with AirPlay (series 2) after when first bought, but these were quickly fixed with updates and discovering a feature in the settings called “optimise AirPlay”.

In my experience has been solid product.
Bought a display model and it’s been 3-4 years working like a charm, no issues.

Regarding spend money on a Sonos, they are slightly more expensive products.
(although with better sound, and compatibility [AirPlay 2, multiple voice assistants]
comparing to Sonos One & Play 5 vs ST 30)
I do not own any Sonos products so I cannot comment any further on this.

I think if you intend to add more speakers to your wireless ecosystem,
Sonos is a better bet with better sound, software/compatibility etc for the slight extra price.
If your just looking for a simple single speaker solution this Bose is decently built for the price.
