  • pity it doesnt mention the battery capacity
However http://dicksmith.com.au//product/S4414/eneloop-4-x-aa-ready-… does show you get 4x 1900mAh here for $22 free delivery.
nowdays i would expect 2600mAh capacity, like the vartas from BigW @ $18 per 4x AA

These are around 2000mAh. They have a lower self-discharge rate so generally they will perform better than the likes of Varta, Energizer and Duracell, especially if left in your camera for example for weeks at a time.

i have found that after about 2 years, most of my energizers (NiMh) although show fully charged with full capacity, fail to last very long in my cameras. (fail within the same day) its as though the internal resistance has increased and get a higher voltage drop when current is required.
        great when they were new.

  • can you charge the enloops in Varta's relatively cheap 15 minute charging station?

    • I'm sure you could, but the heat generated by such a fast charge would severely reduce the useful life of the batteries. AFAIK, it is not recommended to use chargers which can complete a charge in under an hour.

      • thanks for the reply. I tried once to charge some rechargable energizers in the varta charger but nothing happened. So i assumed maybe the batteries have to be charged in their own brand of charger.

  • These are the same ones Apple are selling, right? Albeit theirs are rebranded with the Apple logo and carry a $39 price tag if i'm not mistaken.

  • I have a varta charger which I believe has now fried my rechargables.

  • Grabbing this thanks.

LAst time DSE had this offer was I think only $17 or $19

  • Buy these from Protog and at the same time get a decent charger. The one supplied is useless.

if you want it with out the charger… its $5.05 off

  • Just make sure you get the new charger and eneloops with the 1500 charges on the pack.
It seems that tricky Dicky is selling both chargers for $24.99.
Note: the 1000 charges as those batteries go for $16.99 compared with the 1500 charge ones for $21.99.

  • I got this setup from DSE a while ago for $20. We use them in both our cameras and they are great.
They hold their charge, no more flat batteries when you want to use the camera.
