Was $2999. Comes with the latest i7, 16gb ram, and a dedicated graphics card. Although, the graphics card is not very impressive, and I probably wouldn't recommend it for playing the latest gen games. Seems like these laptops go for over $3000.

Yep, the P600 has the same core configuration as the MX150, and should perform simiarly in games. Definitely not a laptop to get for gaming and more for workstation tasks which benefit from GPU acceleration. However, with TB3 ports, can be used to game using a eGPU if the owner is sparing no expense.
The 8850H is a strong mobile chip but keep in mind on the stock 45W TDP limit, the chip runs around 3.2-3.3ghz during sustained load. Not bad for 6c/12t in a laptop, but will benefit greatly from a decent undervolt where it should be able to hit 3.6ghz+
The point of those computer are to be workstation mobile that mean this graphic card is no to be use as a gaming but for rendering or used for CAD. They got special drivers that make it not comparable with a simple mx150. This notebooks are beats they run forever. But don't buy for gaming.
Decent laptop, has 2 T3 ports which will mean an external GPU can be utilised to play games if needed.
Not sure what the battery life is like though.Mobile workstation. Good for CAD and GIS for example. I use a Dell Precision for such, and whilst it does well in games that's certainly not its purpose.
I've had a few laptops with CAD. Normal Nvidea works fine these days. Can't comment on other 3D softwares.
Works well better then mx150 since they have got special drivers to run it in 3d the rendering is fantastic.
Nice price for a workstation laptop. This is the 1st I've seen HP Zbook laptops this cheap. Usually it's 3000 to 4500 range
What about the battery life? Please comment.
The GPU is based on Pascal and is likely based on the consumer entry level model Nvidia MX150. Equiv. to the DDR5 based GT1030
The CPU is pretty high end, a 2.60 GHz base freq (4.3ghz turbo), six core, twelve thread chip. Would be great for video editors and content creation.
