Though not ungrateful, AMEX offers are getting really sad…
Yep. Their customer service has dropped significantly, they changed the expiry dates of my travel credit without telling me (I'd suggest everyone logs in and takes a screenshot of there's) and the points are about to be devalued by 50%.
Hello world price beat?
Would not even price match their own website when I went in on my lunch break. Might try again on another day and hope to get a different sales person.
They don’t have price match or beat policy. 1.5 % cc charges which fluctuate from store to store
Service fee 55$ what a joke
Yeah the thing I want (Los Angeles 3 day Go Card) is $307 on their site, $354 in store. $285 on 365tickets which is what I was hoping for haha
where is Bobjane offer :) Come on Amex. My tires are screaming for a change.
Never heard of either of these
Guess you arent a well travelled beauty….
Beauty, def not. Well travelled - pretty much!
Hello World:
a fee of 1.40% (for Visa or Mastercard) or 1.87% (for American Express) applies
Wow HelloRipporff
What makes you say that?
(serious question)
Someone above mentioned a service fee of $55. Not sure about its accuracy.
Just tried to book. Service fee of $100 per person. Wow.
@mustkill: I genuinely don’t get it. So annoying. It’s like they don’t even want my $350.
Potentially targeted - I have the Aveda but not the Helloworld.
Just called Sylvania Travel and Cruise, which is a participating agent. Wanted $80 service fee on top of what the airfare is on the Helloworld website, because they "take care" of everything, such as printing the eticket and making "changes to flight dates" on tickets that can't be changed. I didn't bother asking about any credit card surcharge after listening to that rubbish.
It’s s strange business model, but obviously must be doing alright?
You'd be surprised at how many people need hand holding when it comes to travel. They believe agents can do this. (Couldn't be more wrong…)
Thanks op!
FYI helloworld is in-store/in-person only.
