    Get yourself a samsung with usb 3.1 type A for less and a USB C OTG cable - this one has terrible performance.

    • Not sure what product OP is referring to with "Samsung's Type A" connector. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/430988 comes with a type C to C cable included in the box.

      • Probably referring to the deal I linked above - very similar price/gb but usb type A samsung sticks

  • Crazy the 256GB USB thumbsticks are still this expensive. Considering na external 2.5" HDD case is not really that much bigger and with the price of a SSD to put in it, surely these things don't have much longevity, value wise?

      It's very small, a key ring size, and definitely won't break easy of dropped.
