Asked the store for a deal and they provided a coupon that works on both Black and Grey Only Black left in stock.

These are good for mounting your Google Home Mini on the wall, ceilings or wherever else you have a power point. They reduce the cable mess and both holders connect to each other via magnets. I personally use a few mounted in the bedroom and behind the TV.

I personally use a few mounted in the bedroom

I feel funny enough when the cats come into the room.

Considering I talk in my sleep I've probably set it off a few times in my dreams. Maybe I should take it out incase it calls someone :P

      • Lets hope you aren't having a…happy dream and it calls your parents.

  • These do not fit AU plug it is for the USA version

    • +3

      They're a very tight fit.

      • Bought one for AU plugs and it's a super very tight fit. But it does fit…

        Giggidy.

    • +1

Can confirm this, the AU plug do not fit at all.

      • +3

It fits, it's just a huge struggle. Got one from the last deal.

        • Confirm, tight but works. We tried and failed, contacted them and tried again.

      100% doesnt fit?

shame, as was just about to grab one :/

      • They are just to tight to… Get in

          That's what she said!

    • It takes little elbow grease, but it gets in there without too much hassle and is perfectly functional.

These are a tight fit as Clear has mentioned but they do work.

Note that they do make it hard to use the second power plug.

I ended up using my dremo to cut down some of the home mini plug since it's quite wide and hard to use side by side with another plug.

    • -1

Making it a tight fit does make things hard.

    • Given that the original plug still makes it hard to use the second plug, stupid plug sizes

I used 3M mounting squares from Bunnings. Hasn't fallen yet.

    • Same. But only did it a few weeks ago. So only time will tell.

    • Same but a few of them fell

considering the one they sell at JB HiFi with wall hook

  • Bought. I'll make this work. Realistically could have just used some removable picture hanging tape (the new stuff is similar to Velcro with two pieces)

  • Ive been looking for a ceiling mount, flush mount would be nice

  • My order came to $11.89 with code ($5.10 discount)

    • Woops I typo'd. Thanks!

  • Thanks.. got one 👍

  • Would this work with google WiFi ?

Can anyone still add grey? can't seem to find it

    • Same, would prefer grey over black.

      • I prefer yellow.

  • It fits just don't shove it in the whole way. It works fine I've got 2

  • I have one of these and it's fantastic!

Plenty of designs in Thingiverse that can be 3d printed, if you have access to one. I've tried a few of them with great success, and they only cost a couple cents in plastic.

    • +2

Good thought. I always forget about my local 3D printers. So cheap https://www.3dhubs.com/how-to

For those who don't know… You get the object from thingiverse and find a hub through the link above

    • Good idea! i didn't even think about that. I know someone who does 3d printing if anyone wants to send me a PM or am i allowed to just link them here?

    • +2

My local library lets you print things for pretty cheap. I'm sure there are others that offer the same service

      • I just checked my local library. Fixed usage cost of $10 plus 10c per gram. Very cool that they have the option (and provide a free training session as well), just not economical for this purpose!

        • That blows. Mine is $1.50 per hour flat rate.

    • You're assuming everyone has access to a 3D printer.

  • Are the built in power bank one any good?

Why do people willingly bug their homes with these?

    • +2

This is just a mount it doesn't have a mic.

jk I know you mean Google Mini. If you have a mobile phone then you're already bugged ;)

      • Only if you turn that feature on.

How's that tin foil hat going?

    • What type of foil do you use for your hats? Normal or heavy duty?

    • You are aware that its not stored public, its stored in your cloud account just like all your facebook is stored in your facebook account

  • How do I use this if I already threw my Google Home Mini in the bin?

  • Is there an AU version of this?

    • No just this tight fitting one.

  • Just received the item. To say super tight fit is an understatement.

  • These were much easier to put on that then first batch. Also came with a magnet to position in a wall etc.
