  • how about that Lenovo Z5s? any good deals?

    • I would like to know as well..thanks

  • Is this legit Global Version? Also, does it really include the wireless charger and hard case as mentioned in the description?

    1 X Wireless Charger
    1 X Hard Case

    • yep. Linus techtips mentioned that also.

      Hi,
Yes, they are included in package.

  • I'm running the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2S.
The specs are pretty similar to this.
    Both with the Snapdragon 845.

I'd hold out a tad longer for the mi mix 3s.
Should be the 855 with 10gb ram.

(I hope the 3S slide down solution last more than 2years and easily repaired)

i am using a china version. The weakest link is the battery. it would last me from 7 am to 10 pm , but my usage aint the average users usage lol, i dont play games. Compare to my previous prime driver: Mi 5S plus (3800 mah), i would still have 30-40 precent left at the same time, instead of under 20 % or worst.
The feel of that no notch full screen is so good, it is still stunning every time you fire it up. The AMOLED screen is not as dim as compare to LCD and the special eye protection mode is far from yellowish like LCD would.
I was able to adjust that slider sound effect to igniting and switch off of a lightsaber. You can put on anything you like as long as the sound is good for public lol
It has the All important Band 28, yes, because it was market as the business device like Mi note series, allow travel to all around the world and get fastest signals (then hell why not a bigger battery which business people would rather trade for on when needed.)
the Frontal camera is good, it has a LED flash. The rear dual camera beats Mi5S plus for sure
The phone is very heavy. I would settle for lighter and bigger battery than the current weight and material.
finger print sensor actually better at the back than at the front.
The plastic casing on the market wont protect all of the phone, the lower edge at the screen slider mechanism area will not be protected, but I managed to purchase a special chin that can stick on to the section to make that area protected with most cases.
There is also a software delay in loading up all icon at the start of every day, clearly a software issue need to be fixed.
Then that smart key often get touched by accident, launching whatever app i assign to (camera). I got no idea how it will work when running Alphabet Spy Agency's fav female assistant (not that the eastern counter part is any better, i would prefer Cortana as an option lol.)
Over all, the phone is 7/10, if the next gen would have a 4000 mah + battery, 40g lighter, a bit larger and longer with 6.6 inch 20:9, (same width as the mi5S plus), throw in a wide angle, a standard and a portrayal lens, then black and white primary support lens, a ring flash, it would be my perfect phone.

Totally agree, I don't understand why they putting 3200mAh battery on their flagship to power those high-end specs.
I'm currently on Redmi Note 5 Pro, 4000mAh on lower specs. This phone easily lasts for 2 days on single charge.

      • redmi note 7 just announced with 4000mah battery and 49 megapixel samsung camera, 6.3 inch droplet screen for 220 AUD 3Gram 32G Storage and 260 for 4/64 option. too bad i wouldn't even want a droplet at the centre for camera lol

  • Is the S1 TWS any good? No aptx though

  • Man its always the black versions.
I really want the blue, not so sure its work waiting for though, this is loads cheaper then I see anywhere else.

i am using it, it works 4G on all my sims, i got Vodafail, Ops!tus/Amaysim , Hellstra/ALdi

          • @jackau: That's the international version of the Mi Mix 3. I'm not convinced this is actually a legit international version phone.

Just because it works on 4G, doesn't mean it has B28.

            • @j33prong: i agree on the tower assessment , cause some hellstra towers are old three towers using different bandwidth, you have to be in the outer city region to run in to the newer Band 28 towers. But on the launch keynote, it stated number of bandwidth that would be covered in the device as the most numeral in history of the mi lineup, that surpasses Mi note 2 which has band 28 was the first mi phone to have the band outside of Taiwan sceptical versions of red mi devices

        • Weird. Geekbuying had it listed. Im not sure if there a variants for bands or they've just missed it

Expand out the Technology row. Band 28 is definitely there.

Edit: Someone beat me to the punch XD. My fault for not paying attention.

      • I don’t see any specs saying it has band 28 on any site though.

That’s when I was looking a few days back.

No B28? Wireless charger is included? Sounds like this is the China Version with Global ROM, not the Global Version (Europe) that just went on sale.

Forgetting any adapters for Australia - what is the actual power socket type of the wired charger? ie. what country's plug does it fit in to without an adapter?

    • That’s what I am thinking, a lot are opened packages with a global rom installed after the fact, not official global from maker (even though a heap of sellers say Official Global version)

  • It's been reported that face unlock won't be enabled until a future OTA update and will only come to select markets. Any news on this feature?
