That rules me out. 3.5Mbps interwebs here.
No one will ever need more than 12Mbit according to Malcom Turnbull.
I think the clown said this while he was Communications Minister but before he paid Telstra 50 billion to not put fibre in (meaning buy Telstra's copper wire network and then award them the contract to replace it).
He totally wasn't working for Telstra.
What a modern innovative country it is! other countries will surely look to us as tech leaders when we go backwards with our own internet. Even some of my friends with FTTP have pretty bad speeds. It's pretty disgraceful that I have to use mobile data to do work sometimes because our line is that unstable.
Even some of my friends with FTTP have pretty bad speeds.
Sounds like they should find a better ISP. Speed problems on FTTP or HFC are invariably the ISP not purchasing sufficiently enough CVC.
@daitro: Perhaps. Not an expert on FTTP myself, mainly because I'm still on ADSL2+ as my overlords see it unfit for a peasant like me to have anything better. What I meant was in comparison to speeds that my relatives in Canada and Europe get and what they pay compared to here. Perhaps the speeds were excellent for Australian standards.
130GB is still acceptable but some people had their downloading stopped part way e.g. after downloaded 70GB, some error occurred, and they have to restart the 130GB downloading all over again. That is unacceptable. At least with Steam if you lost connection during downloading, you can resume without from the start.
On what planet is downloading & storing 130GB for one game acceptable?? Ridiculous bloat.
LOL… When I started gaming, I could fit one ~4MB game on the hdd at a time. Fast forward a while, and 24/7 downloading would get me ~20GB/mth (if the ISP was still running). 2019, and developers have become lazy and/or greedy.
I guess some OzBargainers here have bought several SSD and large terabytes spindle HD from past bargains, and with NBN internet connection at home, they can afford to download 130GB games.
@edfoo: I can understand 134gb for just the base game is huge for those on capped and slow internet connections. I remember first getting this free back in October 2016 bundled with a new GTX video card. The download was 80gb and growing. At the time DSL and capped connections were the norm took a few days to download. Now its nothing for a game of this size.
@edfoo: That's the thing. Too much of the country is still on 15 year old internet technology.
@edfoo: Personally… my wage, nbn & storage can handle it, many times over. But we're all making up for their sloppiness.
The world's tardy fibre upgrades are only really a problem, because we're being forced to need something some have & most can't get.
Add my xbox gamertag Dragonbinder for multiplayer/ coop
Is there a local multiplayer as well?
yes can play with bots
You do not need xbox live to play this on PC for anyone wondering. its crossplatform
Tah. Ordered.

Thanks for this! Do you think that the GTA 5 price will drop further?
No worries. I don't have much knowledge in grand theft auto v pricing. It may drop even further, but if it does, I reckon it won't drop by much. You can search up the pc version of the game on the ozbargain website, you'll get a good idea of past prices, price ranges, minimum maximum prices etc.
not even this price can push me back into the windows store… :(
please don't down-vote, it's the truth
I got it just to try it on pc with a mouse kb combo!
Be aware of the massive download for this.. 130GB in size. I had to reinstall this and Forza 7 on my new PC along with the expansions making a total of 230GB just there.
