    Should be @TGG mate!

    • 🤦‍♂ my bad

Although G size TT's on new years day isn't a bad thing ;-P

  • Doesn't beat the Note 9 dual sim snapdragon I snagged on ebay for $830 ($730 after selling the fortnite skin). Albeit a grey import but still a good buy.

      from where?

      • eBay seller during one of those 20% off deals. Was originally 1000ish.

        • Was it from overseas? And if so, did you have to pay custom charges since it was over $1,000?

How is battery like using sd chip. Only thing is samsung pay and 2 year warranty.

      • Don't have anything to compare to but it seems decent, I can get 2 days out of it with medium-heavy use (just surfing and multitasking).

Samsung pay is a bummer but I'm with commbank and thankfully their tap and pay is excellent.

        • Getting a note without Samsung pay is pretty big downer for me. Also seems sd will get slower updates.

      • Does Samsung pay not work on the SD model?

    • +1

      No warranty though.

      • +2

There's the 1 year sellers warranty which I hope I never have to use. Being a Samsung flagship I doubt anything will go wrong.

        • +1

Yeah that's what I hoped with my S7 Edge which bricked itself 3 times and being near a samsung store is pretty important.

@zan5hin: The $400 I saved makes it worth it. Chances of getting a lemon are slim.

you cant compare a grey import with an aust stock model.

      • Aust stock model has the shitty chip though, not Snapdragon. Check the comparison on YouTube and you'll be surprised.

        • -3

They're both the same besides not worth the trouble if warranty is needed.

          • +1

@dealhunter42: Both the same? I feel like I'm talking to an ATO agent.

            • @Broden: Real world tests dont show much difference. I feel like I'm talking to a kid.

        • -1

The Exynos chip has custom rom support. Snapdragon doesn't.

I'd rather take the small performance hit over full customization.

          • @Seepy: The only reason they use Exynos and Qualcomm is so they don't become reliant on a single provider and provides pressure on both companies.

    • Yeah, if one of those deals comes back again I'll pull the trigger next time. The lack of snapdragon in AU model is a bummer.

You enjoying the phone as much as you enjoy the bragging Broden? I reckon you've let everybody know on at least 4 occasions now.

    • How u sold fortnite skin ? Can you tell step by step plz.

      • Found a guy on a facebook group, he gave me his acc details and I played 3 games, then he got the skin 48hrs later.

David Jones have the 512GB blue for $1299, price match at OW to get it for $1234.05. Or use the domayne amex offer if you have it.

    • Wow that's a stunner deal.

    • Amazing deal - would jump on if wasn't waiting for the one this year.

      • what is coming out soon?

        • Note 10!

    • Tried to get Domayne to price match DJ price for the 512gb, this is what Domayne came back with, "Unfortunately we are unable to price match with David Jones as the price is marked significantly under market value (as per our price guarantee online). M apologies for the inconvenience". Go figure, these price match policy means nothing, when they have a long list of exclusions and the one they always use is "Products with pricing set significantly lower than the recommended retail price or market value.". Myer uses the same excuse as well. Why do they even bother having a policy when it's a waste of everyones time?

      • Wtf is that such a rule.

      • i just called goodguys and they sort of price matched on online deal from ideal gadget wich is selling for $940 ( gray import )
just picked up the 128gig for $950 :) i called into the oxley store in qld if that helps
