[NSW] Cherries $0.25 Per Punnet @ Coles, Winmalee

800

Cheap cherries for you mountains-based OzBargainers. Both Coles brand and Cherry Hill Orchards punnets are 25c. Looks like there's still a decent amount, not sure if there's more to refill shelves or not.

Would go well with some hot cross buns 😉

    Oh mate.
The amount of cherries I've had in the last few days. Still would get more though if they were this price at my local (or even close to this!)

Those who share a bathroom with me though would probably prefer I didn't lol

      cherry flavoured poop?

      • +2

I'm not sure if you could call it "poop" as such, but you've got the right chute at least. And it stinks.

Put it this way, you'd been looking at least a 6 on the Bristol Stool Chart.

    Excellent price!

  • I would buy them all and I wouldn't even feel bad that everyone else missed out.

6-7L of ~40% cherry moonshine with a total ingredient cost of about $22. Bargain!

    nice treat for da hillbillies

  • And here is me buying at full price on the roadside like a fool.

    • +1

My roadside stall has been making a killing selling these

  • Goddamn. Knowing my luck, these will be sold out by the time I hit my local store

    • Very probably store specific. Don't sweat it.

Wow that is cheap the cheapest we can get in Perth is $12 per kg but nearly all places have them $20 per kg. Every year it is about that price.

  • In December we've been able to get 5kg boxes for $20 at various green grocers - big cherries and unblemished but not consistently as large as the premium ones. Once one was marked down to $15 even though it scanned $25 on the system - gladly took it for $15 rather than trying to get it for free.

Thats not guaranteed unless the store has signed up to the Scanning Code of Practice, Woolworths is the only major supermarket that is currently a signatory to the code.

Other stores have their own policy but getting it for free isn't guaranteed.

      • Yes, I realise that. I meant I didn't even try to get it for free.

  • We got a punnet in our click'n'collect yesterday from the winmalee store… best before date is 30/12
