Anker PowerCore+ 26800mAh Power Bank (A1374H11) - $109 - Delivered @ Kogan

60

I was looking for Anker powerbank and ended up buying this.
Looks like price is slashed as part of Boxing day sale. Not sure how long it will be staying. Hope someone will find this post helpful.

This Powerbank is huge in terms of capacity and physical dimensions.
This price is good for its Brand reputation and power bank's capacity.

This power bank has 3 ports (1 - QC3.0) and has Anker's PowerIQ and VoltageBoost technologies
Full details about this power bank is here

  • better than cygnett chargeup pro? been looking at this , cygnett or xiaomi one

Anker build quality top-notch but this is last generation stuff, definitely Xiaomi/Zmi, Cygnett or RavPower over this one.

    • Haven't used, so don't know. In terms of quality, Anker will be better but whether it's worth the extra, tough decision.

      I bought this one.
      Weighs 640 grams.
Used my Dell Type-C charger to fully charge it.
It worked with my Dell XPS 9370. Fully charging my laptop depleted the powerbank just over 50%.
I have used it only once till now, as I did not buy it for daily use but just as a backup.

Note: I previously tried the Cygnett Charge Pro. it couldn't work with my laptop so had to return it to TGG.

      • You probably mistaken this model with something else, this one doesn't even have USB-C output, unless XPS 9370 can be charged via USB-A to C?

he's referring to the kogan branded one linked in this specific thread rather than the OP Anker one.

      • Thanks, I have bought one too.

    • Thanks for letting me know, I researched more about this and canceled Anker order for Kogan.
So far looking good, here is my view of this Kogan power bank.

You could buy a Xiaomi for half that amount of money

    • True, applicable for all electronics. I am just fixated on Anker as I have good experiences with their chargers and cables.

      • Yeah I heard good reviews for Anker too. So I bought two of their powerline+ cables. Both failed within 2 months.

Went back to Samsung original cables which had lasted me years.

    Cable Geek - $169.95

This is a different model with Power Delivery, so can't really compare with Kogan.

    • I got that one because it has enough juice for charge while you play on the Switch.

    • Sorry I added that by mistake and removed it now.

  • It was much cheaper than this during boxing Day at amazon and my anker got swollen. Will never go back

    • Interesting that your Anker Power Bank became Swollen. As far as I'm aware, Anker recent models power bank all uses Lithium-ion battery (18650) instead of Lithium-Polymer which are more prone to swelling.

  • No PD šŸ˜

  • I have the Anker 26800mAh. I really like it. It does take a while to charge but that is to be expected.

No excited at this price, might feel differently if it had USB Type C and at least 60W of PD standard power delivery.
Could get 4 x Xaiomi 20amp banks for the same price.

  • Which Xaiomi model do you guys recommend?

And where to get one that is not fake?

  • Why do you want to spend $109…

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/AU-50000mAh-Power-Bank-2USB-LCD-ā€¦

Buy that for $22 its 50,000mah, lasts forever and its cheap. ( i know i've bought 3 of these)
You all focus on fancy brands with expensive price tags and jack all power.

      Welcome to OzB,

it looks like we have a lot to learn from you, WOW, a 50,000mAh battery weights only 0.19kg. It must be made by super high energy density material. I felt sorry for those who bought those expensive battery! šŸ˜†šŸ˜‚šŸ˜†

    • A quick look at the feedback for the $22 EBAY power bank shows what we already know

      Its fake rubbish.
