Back again like every other week but this lighter charger than the ugreen 100w one will charge your brand new Samsungs at 45w (aka sfc2.0, and at very low battery only) with any cable including 3a cable.

The ugreen 100w uses a standard figure 8 cable which can be swapped for another plug head, making it more suitable for travel but its heavier at 280g vs this 140g. A cable is also much better with adaptors in the sense it isn't dangling loosely from a large adaptor while travelling overseas. The ugreen 100w can use a regular 3a cable to get sfc2.0.

The ugreen 65w is 220g, and is almost half the price at $35 and does sfc2.0 45w charging too (requires a 5a cable) thanks to RichardL. If you're okay with the 80g weight diff (57% heavier) and just a tad larger, the ugreen is a clear winner in value.

    Yep i can confirm. I just used the nano ii (same shape and size) in Japan, not ideal at all, dangly dangly and loose esp with larger adaptor. Look for one with a figure 8 cable is probably better.

      Also to solve our problem probably we just need to buy some short au power cable extension ??

        I used to travel with au powerboard. Don't really recommend anymore now with multi chargers being so common.

        Just get a smaller dedicated adaptor, not one of those large universal adaptors (get one at don quijote) or get a charger with figure 8 cable.

  The UGREEN 65W also does Samsung SFC2.0 and is also cheaper.

      Also worth noting that the S25U doesn't require PPS 5A for SFC 2.0 now (PPS 3A will trigger it, so the old Anker 65W will also do SFC2.0 for S25U).

            @RichardL: I just tried the old anker 65w nano ii with a regular non 5a cable shows SFC and not SFC2.0 with s25U. With 5a cable it's still showing SFC and not sfc2.0

            Can confirm the ugreen 65w one is showing sfc2.0, but only with 5a cables. The default cable that came with samsung phone and pixel phones only show SFC.

            So my testing shows 5a cable still seem to be required

              @lawyerz: Good to know. My assumption was based on previous comment, as I don't have the S25U to check myself.

              All these different charging protocols for different brands/models makes it too confusing for the average user…

                @RichardL: Yeh no worries. I tested this personally so it's odd people are getting diff results.

                And yes it's VERY confusing. The difference isn't huge anyway but I can see this being useful while travelling where I need to top up battery asap from very low.

                To add confusing the mix, I am getting sfc2.0 from my ugreen 100w with a 3a default cable but not the 65w one. So it's kinda true that 3a cable works for sfc2.0, but not with all chargers capable of doing 45w sfc2.0. so confusing

    UGREEN on AliExpress rarely has the AU Plug.

    Also after currency conversion and GST, it usually cheaper from Amazon.

    In theory it should, but with a 5a cable and only with a s25u (not older Samsung ultras). Don't hold me to it though, as I've only just gotten into researching all the different standards and amps etc needed to reach these speeds.

    The ugreen65w I've personally tested.

  Charger arrived today.

  Looks virtually identical to ugreen, weight difference is negligible. Charging for 45w Samsung also acts the same.

  Go get the ugeen65w is my recommendation.

  I've been seeing and reading a tonne of conflicting stuff about 45w Charging and sfc2.0 especially for the s25u. Some say 5a cable is no longer required even.

  I went out and bought a bunch of chargers, all of which are supposed to support sfc2.0, namely:

  • Anker 735 65w Ganprime • Anker 313 Ace2 45w

  • Ugreen Nexode 65W

  • Ugreen 100W USB C Charger, Nexode 4 Ports Charging

  Station

  And my unofficial conclusion is:

  • 65w or below chargers need 5a cable to get sfc2.0 • 100w chargers can use any cable, including the one that came in box to get sfc2.0

  This is when the only device being charged was the s25u.

  Just FYI if anyone is looking for charger/cable combo to get sfc2.0.

  Noting that even with sfc2.0, the highest watts I saw on screen was 35w when my battery was 4% and kept cool so I still haven't seen that magical 45w.
