If you are lucky you might be able to get a box of bags or two thrown in with the deal?
We bought a couple of boxes of bags from a seller on ebay but cant remember the cost.. they were cheaper than B&M stores. Only get the genuine Miele bags. The box also includes new filters.
The bags do last a lot longer than you think… it helps bag life if larger debris is picked up before vacuuming.
When it does come time to empty it is a lot easier and cleaner to do than a bagless.
We have had our Mile for a few years and it is still like the day we got it. It is robust and has very strong suction.
I prefer the German made unit, not sure if the one here is one of those.
Get a turbo head with it or the version that comes with the turbo head as it does a far better job on carpets.
The turbo head is a non powered type but because the Miele has such strong suction the turbo head works fine.
They perform well and are built to last.
How is this compared to a Dyson PowerBall?
Miele is better than Dyson imho. Dyson advertisement is 30% in the purchase cost. Dyson is the equivalent of Beats by Dre in the vacuum world. And Miele is like Sennheiser or Audio Technica.
except when you have both, you'll use the dyson everyday, keeping your house pristine with spot cleaning
while your miele collecting dust in the corner.
What about xaomi robo vac?
If you have allergies and want it to last more than 5 year.Miele wins.
So the Dyson won't last more than 5 years?
I bought a cheep Phillips from target ($100 I think) 2 years ago, and it is still working fine.@Averell: Exactly why I can't get excited about a $300+ Dyson. We've had an $90 Airflow from Harris Scarfe for around 5 years, still going strong and works well.
AvE has torn down some models of Dyson and thinks are overrated/priced : https://m.youtube.com/watch%3Fv%3DNPTzNJMd19A&ved=2ahUKEwjw1…
I have both. Miele is much better than the dyson. Dyson is good for delicate rugs, curtains and the odd small job but for any serious vacumming when I actually want a clean dust free house the dyson just doesn't cut it.
How does this compare with the C2 Celebration?
Comparing with the model number on Qantas Store this model seems to be C2 celebration.
What is the normal price?
I recently bought this on eBay, but decided to resell it on Gumtree and go for this deal as soon as I turned it on for 2 reasons:
1- This model has 80 dB noise which is much louder than the compact c2 one for around 75dB.
2- This model is made in China and has lower build quality but the compact C2 is made in Germany. In addition the compact C2 has a better look, is lighter and although 50$ more expensive, comes with additional floorhead, hepa filter and 4 dustbags.
How much are the bags, and are they capable to hold much?
Bags are being sold for 20$-30$ for a pack of 4. I am not sure about how long they last but the OP (Complete C2) model uses a 4.5 litre dustbag whereas the compact c2 uses a 3.5 litre dustbag which I believe is the major advantage of the Complete C2 over the compact c2.
Do you know how the "Miele Compact C2" compare to this newly advertised listing? Is it just the colour?
@bargin424: They are rhe same, but one you are referring to does not come with additional dustbags and hardfloor head. If you do not have lots of hard floor just get the Good Guy ‘s one.
@happydragon: I can't thank you enough! You've been very helpful
@happydragon: Hello,
What attachment is required to vacuum carpets though?
Is the one you got (or the one just posted for Good Guys) suitable for carpet, or should we buy a Turbo Head attachment?
@movieman: All Miele vacuumes come with a universal head which is good for low pile carpets as well as hard floor, but for high pile carpets and getting rid of hairs you can buy the turbo head separately. It only comes with the cat abd dog models.
Some of Miele's entry level vacuuma are made in China, cheaper but maybe less durable. Had one for a year and the suction is unbelievably strong. Dyson is ok if you wanna use it for a quick job, but the battery doesn't last very long. Plus bagged vacuum filters better if you have allergy
Anyone knows what's the history of this model ? Discontinued ?
I can find many reviews for Compact C2 but almost nothing on Complete C2.
How much do the bags cost, and how does it compare to the Dyson V7?
