Of course the clerk was cool about it. The store makes more profit from accessories than consoles.
If you were to buy the console alone, they might not budge on the price at all.
It's a great deal if you want the games.

Great deal, shame I got the console approx 1 year ago with 4 lack luster games for a similar price. Hardly used the thing all year.

It is a great deal. I paid the same price + Gears of War 4 only at JB-HIFI a few weeks ago. The attendant was cool to bring it down to 279 as I bought extra control, batteries, 2 or 4 extra years of warranty, etc.
