This is the lowest the Pro 900 has been by about $30. The WireCutter recently ranked this 1st in all personal blenders.

I recommend a blueberry, banana, egg, protein powder, natural greek yoghurt, steel cut oats, peanut butter and milk smoothie after a 16 hour fast.

"I recommend a blueberry, banana, egg, protein powder, natural greek yoghurt, steel cut oats, peanut butter and milk smoothie after a 16 hour fast."

why would you recommend this without knowing someones goals?

    • +3

It's delicious and healthier than a b&e roll and muffin.

      • Is it better than smashed avo on toast tho for those under 30s?

I recommend KFC, large chips and gravy.

    • Mmm calcium goodness.

Decent price, I paid $77 end of November. It only comes with one cup and ring, so great for people who live on their own.

Are you buying on their eBay store…?

      • Yeah, I worked it out in the end… was on the stores website as opposed to ebay…. DOH!

Clearly I should have clicked the link… error on my part.

  • Does this come with a lid? Doesn't seem like it does?

  • What does this do that a normal $30-$40 blender can't?

    • More to do with convenience, ease of cleaning and smaller footprint.

It's far more powerful. So quicker to blend smoothies etc.

My $20 Kmart one is 250w from memory

This is more than 3 times that.

Plus big brand means you can get accessories as you please (readily and conveniently)

      • quicker to blend smoothies etc

Yeah, I usually take annual leave when I'm about to blend.

    • I've owned the Kogan knockoff of this, and it does not blitz ice nearly as finely as this does (I do frozen fruit smoothies). It is also very fast, and less for me to clean (drink straight out of the blending cup).

A full sized blender tends not to do smoothies as well, but is definitely more suitable when blending for more than one person (they do sell a giant cup for this though).

Putting raw egg into a shake is quite useless and wasting $$$. Studies have proven eggs are only 51% digestible when raw compared to 91% when cooked.

So either add pasteurised egg whites or don’t πŸ‘

Thanks for the tip I didn't know how big of a difference it was! I mainly use the powder for my protein intake and the egg for good cholesterol and fatty acids.

  • Just purachsed

      You just bouhgted it?

  • I bought one of these about 3 years ago and it was the best thing ever. After it died (white smoke coming out of motor) I replaced it but I found it wasn't the same anymore. It didn't blend as smooth as it used to so I figured they must have changed the design.

Also we found that liquid gets into the rim seals of the base and will get mouldy.

So eventually we exchanged it for a stick blender.

    • The exact same thing has happened to me with my Nutri Ninja, as well as the bearings in the blade failing. That's why I'm switching to NutriBullet as I read they are more durable! Ah well.

  • What does this do that a $15 stick mixer, a plastic cup and a moving arm can't?

    • $56 is worth not having to awkwardly try and wash the stick mixer under the tap and not let water run to the motor.

      • You've never used a stick mixer?? πŸ˜€

The blade end detaches from the motor end for precisely that purpose.

        • Haha never figured that out!

They tend not to pulverize ice as well as this will - so these are ideal for making frozen fruit smoothies. I put in ice cubes and slightly defrosted mango, so even in off seasons I can enjoy mango smoothies. :)
