Pack of 20 SanDisk Ultra 64GB Micro SD Card $20.95 from Amazon AU [Pricing Error]

This might be another amazon au pricing error or listing error. I stumbled across this while trying to use the credit given from the dishwashing tablet pricing error from amazon au. The listing says its for a pack of 20? Unsure if this is accurate or not. If it is, $20 for 20x 64gb micro sd cards is an absolute steal. If it is another error, they might give us more credit for having incompetent website editors.

If inappropriate, please delete. Thanks.

Edit: the SanDisk 64gb cards don't seem to add to cart anymore. Try using one of the other ones listed in the comments, or just try to find another "pack of 20" item if you wish to join the 'amazon's headache party' .

  • Chat admits it's an error on description. Proceeds to cancellation and refunds.

    • +5

Still seems like a lot of hassle for $10 credit😞

      • Well, we all thought we could get a pack of 20! This is a consolation, I guess… Broken OzBargain hearts this morning… :(

    • +8

U sounds like a robber and beggar lol. I demand compensation when you know it is an error in posting. Geez.

      • Latter one, yes.

      • Some people have a deluded sense of self-entitlement. They think they are god send, but in fact they are merely a piece of sh*t.

    • +2

      zero manners dude…

    • +2

      Wow what an attitude. Pathetic.

    • +1

      Wow, you're a grade A c**t.

Tomorrow's Herald Sun article: worldwide shorter of SD cards

Interested.. apparently my order has been shipped:

    =================

    Hello,
We thought you'd like to know that Amazon US shipped your item(s). Your order is on the way, and can no longer be changed. If you need to return an item or manage other orders, please visit Your Orders on Amazon.com.au.
    Arriving:
    Saturday, December 29

    Track your package

    =================

    Item description does state:
    Sandisk SDSQUAR-064G-GN6MA Ultra 64GB Micro SDXC UHS-I Card with Adapter - 100MB/s U1 A1, Black, Pack of 20
    Sold by Amazon US

    • I tried to track the parcel in UPS, the weight is 0.1lbs, Amazon confirmed only 1 pack has been shipped.

  • +1

    Now only $5 compensation applied

  • +1

So I ordered from an Australian Amazon Marketplace seller and am unable to cancel the order …

  • +1

I just phone them, they gave me $5 credit for each order, $20 for 4 orders, and cancel all of them.

They said they cannot issue $10 credit for each order.

    • What about those who already shipped out of amazon USA?

      • They will ask UPS to return the item, when Amazon received, they will return us the money.

  • they gave me a $20 credit and cancelled order… you just need to have manners

  • So received $10 credit but it can only be used for items made by Amazon. Any one have any ideas on what to buy?

  • Are they cancelling orders?

    • Yes, no, maybe

    • they will not cancel orders, they will ship you 1 pack without notification instead.

      You can ask for cancellation

  • For those that have already received credit, did you contact them stating that you've noticed that your order states pack of 20, and that the listing has changed?

Or did they cancel the order?

    • I said "will I receive 20 of them? As in the UPS tracking system, the weight is 0.1lbs."

They said “the description was incorrect and they have corrected them, you will only receive one, not 20.”

Then I requested to cancel it and ask for compensation.

      • +6

        Compensation for what?

        • For wasting valuable time and energy….Duh! Going rate for an OzBargainer is around $5 per hour.

          • +4

@RespectMyAuthoritar: Didn't you waste your own time? You knew it was an error and there was NO way amazon would honour this, especially after it was ozbargined

      • +1

Compensation because you were gain enough to risk a blatant error? Only 'compensation' you and everyone else deserve is a refund.

Anything else and you're being entitled.

    • +1

I confirmed / cancelled via LiveChat. They didn't offer compensation, and I didn't request it. I was nice to them, and stated it was a negative experience and left it at that.

We'll see if they review and offer something in the future, if not, oh well :) It was entertainment none the less ;)

  • +2

For those who have purchased it, if you can still contact CSR, cancel it and get $5-$20 voucher, that would be the easiest / safest.

Expecting to get Amazon to offer you full refund without return is risky. I know some people were able to get refund without returning the item, but that had never happened to me. Amazon always wanted me to return the item (even if they had to pay more to compensate me for sending the item back - I use trackable service) and both were Amazon's faults (faulty item and wrong item sent).

The annoying part to send the item back (esp. to the states) is the process. You still need to print out the return label, fill in the declaration form (for international postage), pay for the postage first, post the item back and then send an e-mail with the receipt to claim postage compensation. Amazon often get the exchange rate a bit off (for postage compensation) so I had to have another chat with CSR on that.

    • This. Had to pay around $100 aud to return an extra cast iron they sent me. They did refund but not worth the hassle + had to chase them up.

    • If I were you I’d resist doing this and ask them to organise collection for me.

    • Well, they told me since the item is in advanced shipping, so they won't be able to cancel it. However, they assured that they will be able to inform the delivery service to stop the delivery and return immediately. They will then issue a full refund. So, no hassle on the customer side. Just contact them and let them know you are not intended to receive it.

    • It would be hilarious if they all end up out of pocket after expecting a windfall of 20 cards or compensation

  • I bought from Amazon Au, how do I contact them to cancel? Can I do live chat?

    • Live chat is the easiest (unless you want to call them). Worst case would be just a standard cancellation without compensation (that can do that coz. in the terms and conditions, I am pretty sure Amazon put in a clause for incorrect listing which we all suppose to have read and agreed).

Unless you are actually happy with the price for just 1 microSD card, it is less hassle and risky to cancel it.

    • Search for 'Help' alongside '… Gift Cards Sell' or on the left hand side of Your Account.
Then, scroll down Browse Help Topics > Need More Help? > Contact Us

Tick your order and choose your options and there are three ways to do that. Live chat is one of them.

P/S: Just finished off with them, they are really busy and probably not as patient as usual, so be nice.

  • Amazon chat cancelled the order. No compensation lol, depends who you get, William never gives out compensation. Had him 3 times. Could have tried again, but couldn't be bothered.

    • Probably because he's named "Bill", not "Refund".

  • Helps to show the screenshots saying 20 pack

  • Got on live chat, got order cancelled and received $5 credit.

  • I need the SD card in the end so will let order go through, did get $10 comp on phone though

    • wish your card turns out to be a genuine one, as the CS rep confirmed (on their end) that this is not a genuine Sandisk card: "This is an aftermarket of generic part"

      • So you're saying that Amazon have listed this as a Sandisk card when it is not?

Are you sure you know what you are talking about?

        • Believe it or not, they acknowledged this issue. Look for yourself, the description "This is an aftermarket of generic part" is still there and do a google search.

When I explained the discrepancy to CS rep, they do a check on the spot and confirm it's not a genuine one.

"I completely agree with you. We appreciate customers who let us know when things aren’t right."

"I apologize for what had happened. We always try our best to make your shopping experience pleasant but unfortunately, despite all our efforts, unforeseen issues sometimes occur as we've just launched the service in Australia."

So, not only the title is incorrect, the item sold by Amazon may not be genuine as well. Just look carefully and ask for confirmation. You can of course wait for the item and check to see if it is genuine. If it is, then everything is fine; otherwise, either you keep and use it with risk of losing file, or return it, which is also a hassle. So, yeah it's your choice.

          • @JadaJ: I just asked the rep on chat point blank if it's a genuine Sandisk product and they checked and said yes.

I was surprised as the listing is branded as SanDisk
redacted rep name: Just a min D, let me pull up the details.
Thanks for bearing with me D.
            I found the information.
This is indeed an original one.

            • @Duplicity: Okay, obviously we both receive different information. Not my position to dispute anything, I simply convey what they told me via the chat. Great for you :)

              • @JadaJ: No worries, also my rep said if the card did end up being not genuine there would be no issues with a no return full refund… take that as you will

  • +3

Why are people automatically asking for refunds?

My email order says a 20 pack of cards. Supplied by Amazon US.

They either send the order or they will organise the refund.

At least let it play out.

    • As clarified by the CS rep, they have acknowledged and escalated the issue to whatever the department is. So, even though your email order says 20, you will only get 1. Moreover, they also confirm that the item is a knock-off, not a genuine Sandisk card. So, no point in getting them. If you let them ship out and deliver to you, you will need to organise the return personally, which is a true hassle. But, if you contact them and let them know you no longer want the item (but already in advanced shipping), they can stop the delivery and return immediately, they will then issue refunds. In this case, you dont need to do anything.

    • -1

Amazon US will send you only 1 SD card.

That will be a big hassle if you deal with Amazon after you received the item from the States.

    • Organise the refund - well, never had the luck (I tried). The items I bought costed way more than this so I wanted the refund or replacement.

P.S. with people reporting CSR indicating the microSD card might not be genuine, you really need to think about it carefully.

With Christmas and New Year, it will drag on if you let it play out. You decide whether it is worth the risk. I am guessing you are aiming for best case scenario (i.e. you want Amazon to let you keep the microSD card, provide the full refund and throw in some compensation).

I just couldn't be bothered with this to start with. You can save more from other OZB deals (and legit savings).

      • +2

So Amazon US is selling fake Sandisk cards now?

Pricing error - yeah I get it.

But if they send out one card when the listing in my email says 20, then they either provide the remaining 19 or give a refund.

I'm gonna let it play out.

Bought 3x pack of 20, in 2 orders.
Requested Callback from this link, Customer Support called back in 2 minutes.

    First Order:
    Will I receive 20? No
    Can I cancel? Yes
    Any compensation? No
    Why? I did order 20 didn't I? Ok, $5 for the order

    Second Order:
    Will I receive 20? No
    Can I cancel? Yes
    Any compensation? No
    Why? I did order 20 didn't I? Ok, $5 for the order

    $10 credit for a 15 min call.

    • +1

Used the link U provided. Connected to a +44 number. Cancelled the order and gave me a $10 credit for future order.

    • +1

Thanks for providing that link. They called me back and cancelled my order in less than 5 mins. Charge is still "pending" on my credit card but will be taken off in the next few days. No compensation because I didn't ask for it plus the CSR was so nice and I liked her.

(Where do I hand in my OZB badge?)

  • +1

    No compensation here either.
I'm not really assertive enough for this kind of thing it seems

    • It's luck of the draw, but the later you do this, the less likely you will get compensation.
Even just cancellation is good enough, according to JadaJ, Amazon CSR indicated:

Moreover, they also confirm that the item is a knock-off, not a genuine Sandisk card

    • Me too!

  • +5

Was this really worth it ?

    • For those who received $5 to $20 compensation, I am guessing yes. People were counting on that (Amazon being nice and offer compensation). If this were a Harvey Norman error listing, I doubt most people who even bother.

    • +1

I've been increasingly disliking this website in 2018.

  • Requested Amazon call back - the lady says we have received a lot of calls in regards to the Sandisk order, but no it is only 1 pack, not 20. So $10 credit as well.

  • Got "shipped" email, contacted live chat on Amazon AU.

Cancelled order and was offered $5 credit.

  • +2

My orders have shipped. Going to wait to receive before contacting Amazon if it's not 20

  • was offered $37 refund and I'm allowed to keep the 2 SD cards

  • They refused to give me anything at all, even though it's too late for my order to be cancelled. They said they'll contact the courier to request it to be returned.

    VINEETH JOSE:
    I am really sorry
We have instructions not to give any credit for this mistake as it is due to a technical glitch

    • VINEETH JOSE

I dont know how I feel about that name

    • Same response from the same guy.

  • ahhhh back to 1080 recording :(

    • Only complain if you only can record in 240p :p

  • You an still add this item to cart and purchase

    https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B00RM1EC1S/ref=ox_sc_ac…

Click on '3 new' after in cart it still has 'Pack of 20'…. they must have missed removing this one. For those of you who missed out and want to give it a crack lol

    • +1

      Honestly why bother

  • +1

Just processed a refund through Live Chat. Didn't push for a credit, figured the deal was worth a shot and happy enough to just cancel it.

  • +2

so Vineeth @ Amazon.com.au just confirmed that it is for 60 MicroSD Cards…. now what OzB? Let it arrive and take it up with Consumer Protection?

    https://imgur.com/DO3V5xc

    • +1

I think the agent has just confirmed the title of the item without checking…. if you had written another line with 'does this include 20 x of xyz item' the answer would have been different.

    • I had the exact same Vineeth who told me it's definitely for 1, not 20.

  • +2

This overseas indian support crew getting stretched this morning

Anyone else speak to Hafeejunnisa? He's lovely. Me and Haf' are mates now. Invited him over for a barbie and cricket on Boxing Day.

    • Wait what? I thought Live chat CS rep are based in India and Phone CS rep are based in Philippines? (I have asked the rep about the location before)

      • My CS rep was based in India, from a quick google of their name :)

        • Mate, Indians are all over the world. I'm sure you know this. :D

          • @lordra: LinkedIn + FB

You'll be surprised what you can find online about somebody if you know what they are doing + they have an uncommon name.

      • Mine sent me internal chat messages to a coworker which had his timezone set to +0500 which probably means Pakistan.

    • He canceled my order without give me any compensation. :(

  • Tried to cancel via live chat. My account says item will be dispatched on 17th Dec.
CSR states that item is in "advanced shipping stage" so no cancellation and will only be receiving one card.
"Oh, but be reassured that i have raised this with my hierarchy blah blah bleh"

    • I just successfully cancelled via live chat and my account said the item will be dispatched on the 17th, arriving the 19th.

  • Cancelled orders via live chat. One was in advanced shipping but apparently they'll try to catch it before it ships.

Didn't ask for compensation and received none :)

Enquired about SD cards and the supposed "This is an aftermarket of generic part" - received answer that the cards are genuine.

    https://imgur.com/a/t1BkLj5

    • +1

I triple check by having three chats (2 live chats 1 phone), 1 phone 1 live- not genuine, (latest) 1 live- genuine. The answer varies from rep to rep. Take your side lol.

  • I went through 2 chat agents to cancel 2 orders (both Amazon-US orders), tried to be polite and neutral and just said I've been made aware there was an listing error and would like to cancel.

Order 1: This order says it was already shipped. They told me they will try their best to stop the order and issue refund immediately. No credits and didn't ask for it.

Order 2: This has not been shipped yet. However the chat agent told me it's in advanced stages of shipping so cannot be stopped (?). They told me they can do an return-less refund - so they will issue the refund as soon as the product is shipped, but I won't have to return the card.

So who knows… seems no consistent policy to deal with these description errors so far.

    • Too many refunds and returns wil result in ban. No joke.

      • +1

        Even when it's Amazon's fault?

        • Yup. You don't want to go through that hell - a ban will be associated with every single amazon region and they cross match address info to stop you opening new accounts.
