DIY version for under $50. Cut a steel drum down the middle and buy a rotisserie system for $20 on eBay.

Or shell out a bit more and get a Mini Spit Roaster

      • What kinda cuts go well with this kind of BBQ?

        • Back in the day we would have either a leg of beef or lamb.. As it rotates it cooks the top layer. As it cooks we baste it. Then we cut thin slices. Let this new layer cook. Baste some more. Rinse and repeat.

Was looking at this the other day but the reviews are terrible. Even the 5 star review is bad lol

Was going to buy this tomorrow at that price point without a second thought till I saw your comment. Thank you for saving me from wasting my money

    • The reviews make it sound like hot garbage! I'm surprised it hasn't been recalled with the electric fault. Not one favourable review at all.

      • I really wanted to like this BBQ as it's one of the few rabke top ones and my new house has a unit out the back that is purpose built for a table top. My only other choice is the Weber as it also needs to be natural gas, or a cheap charcoal one.

But apart from those reviews and one YouTube review there aren't any others. And all of the reviews are terrible. Even the fact that it has a cheap steel top rather than cast iron makes you question where your money goes on this BBQ

If only the Everdure Furnace was table top as the reviews for that are really good.

    • Tripping electric circuit is a big no no

      • It is if according to the reviews it happens every time you switch it on and in some cases it means the BBQ won't light.

I guess Breville wasn't paying him quite enough

  • This unit doesn't look very stableat the base…

  • I would go for a more reputable brand like weber or kamado joe.
