What do you use the chest freezer for? Frozen berries?
Corpses
Roadkill
Come to Melbourne, please
I have to say the fruit and veg is pretty avg from here hence the cheap pricing. The meat is good from the butcher but everything isn't too crash hot.
Do you live in Rothwell? What's it like? I'm thinking about moving there.
I'm sick of getting bent over living in Sydney, everything is a rip off.
I would take a trip to Brisbane and see for yourself. Doesn't have an overly bad reputation like Caboolture or Deception Bay. Some older dumpier houses but also new estates popping up all around the area (small blocks but new houses). It's like half way between Redcliffe which is pretty nice, and North Lakes Westfield (with Ikea, Kmart, Target, Big W, Myer, Cinema) which can be handy. There's a train line but it's a fairly long ride in….
Agreed. We went here on the weekend for the first time. No amazing specials that day so I didn't find it much cheaper than other local fruit shops at the moment for fruit and veg on the whole. Prefer T-Bones.
Also they had a LOT of the usual marked down non-perishable grocery items but so much of it already past the best before date and not THAT cheap.
Along with T-Bone's (Aspley) and Yuens and Blunder Rd on the south side….always a bargain to be had.
I like combining Northside with Caboolture Markets for fruit/veg bargains all year round.
It pays to have a 700L chest freezer :)
