10% basically covers the GST now, it's not even a discount.
iHerb just giving less and less, esp when their prices are 30% more than anywhere else.

You're better off buying elsewhere and using a mail forwarding service.

    :)

    • Buying where?

Also you can't expect iherb to lose an extra 10% for Australian customers just because they have to pay GST.

iherb has the cheapest shipping around, I don't think you can beat it, even with 10% off.

      • Hahaha it's a con
They give you free shipping, but their prices are ridiculous. Hood example is Life Extension multi vitamin advanced pack. It sells for around $100aud or so on iHerb.

It sells for as low as $45-50usd at some stores including eBay.

        It's a huge difference.

IHerb may be ok for heavy items, but you can save way more. All the Americans I know don't shop there, it's just internationals who think it's good because free postage. Nothing is for free, it's included in the marked up prices.

        • -1

I'm not sure you can say eBay is a valid alternative.

Show me an Iherb product, and show me another shop with the same product, but cheaper, including shipping.

          • -1

@samfisher5986: eBay is full of stores, what are you. On about?
Literally most other health stores in the US are cheaper, do some research dude.

Honestly blows my mind you think iHerb is cheap.

I listed an example, $25 cheaper. When you're buying 5-10 bottles and you add the savings of 20-35% you'd be saving on top of postage.

4 boxes alone of the advanced packs saves me $100 and postage for 4 small boxes is around 25-30usd max

            Saving of $50

@[Deactivated]: I'm still not seeing any sources. If it was so easy to post a source, you would have done so.

two shop links to identical products, thats all you have to do.

I'm not saying it doesn't exist, but if you make claims, back them up.

This way other people can get cheaper prices (if they exist)

eBay is very hit and miss for many products in this category, you can't just suggest eBay as a replacement for iHerb, that is ridiculous.

              • -6

@samfisher5986: Do you know how to use Google?

It's your job to save you money, not mine.

You're level of dumbness is beyond ridiculous

Plenty of websites do price checking, the fact I have to sit here and actually argue iHerb is more expensive than other stores show you're lazy, and have absolutely no idea how to save.

                • -1

@[Deactivated]: Yup, so instead of posting sources you are now being rude.

Ozbargain is not the place for you to go be negative about a bargain and then say "lalalala I can get this cheaper elsewhere but I'm not saying where"

                  • -3

@samfisher5986: I think you're a little confused or perhaps entitled to believe people owe you something?
This is a public forum, no one has to do anything for you.

It's your own work to save money at the end of the day.
iHerb has thousands of products, and you expect someone else waste their time selecting a few to prove their cheaper? By that stage, you'' just whine that it's only a few products.

So what is an easy solution?
Next time you do an order, you GOOGLE you know ACTUALLY DO SOME WORK and search other stores for the prices and compare.

What do you expect? Someone else to do it for you?

                      @[Deactivated]: No.

If you post on ozbargain that a deal is bad, the community expects you to post a source. The community agrees, you already have 4 downvotes.

                      You need an attitude adjustment.

                      • -3

@samfisher5986: Getting your friends to neg, instead of them openly posting is a big difference.
If people have an issue, they can ask themselves.

Further more, I gave 1 EXAMPLE. It's easy to give examples so your reasoning is nil.

Anyways 10% off iHerb is standard, it's hardly an OZBARGAIN to begin with,

                        • +1

@[Deactivated]: Hahaha, this is hilarious you actually think I would need to do that.

                          Thanks for the private message!

You need to take a break from the Internet and calm down.

                          Still waiting on your sources.

  • Thanks, iHamza.

  • I picked a random product, it took me 15 seconds to use Google.

Controlled Labs, Orange Triad, Multi-Vitamin, Joint, Digestion & Immune Formula, 270 Tablets
    $55AUD - 39USD

    https://nutraplanet.com/products/controlled-labs-orange-tria…
    $20USD
    https://www.a1supplements.com/controlled-labs-orange-triad
    $30usd
    https://au.bodybuilding.com/store/clabs/orangetriad.html
    $37AUD

How many examples of random products do you want? Youre wrong mate, anyone who negged me looks silly.
I can find EVERY SINGLE product on IHERB other than home brands cheaper.
Vitamins in general I personally buy Life Extension, and higher spec brands and find them cheaper everywhere else too.

Shipping comes down to a few things.
If you're willing or use a mail forwarding service, it's ALWAYS cheaper with larger orders.

Smaller orders generally with USPS SUPER SAVER is around $20USD for 3-5 bottles depending on the sizes.
When you work out the total SAVINGS of products it works out MUCH CHEAPER than IHERB.

EXAMPLE Bodybuilding.com has $37AUD, by 2nd bottle half price. A$81.02 for 2 bottles SHIPPED
    Iherb is $108
Buying from Nutraplanet would even be cheaper.

    SAVINGS.

P.S> I do buy some iHerb sometimes, when it's a smaller orders and items are heavy. I generally would never buy with 10% off, the last time I bought there was 30% off, plus 10% off the brands of the week plus Cashrewards, in total it was close to 45% savings minus the GST, but at the time they had 10% loyalty credit, instead of 5%. NOW THATS A BARGAIN.

    • Well I will say congratulations for attempting to do what is right.

You've shown a product with a promotion where they get the second product for 50% off. Now do it for a product where neither shop has a promotion.

      Nutraplanet - No stock
      A1 Supplements - $123.17 AUD
      Iherb is cheaper.

I went and picked a random product as well

Bodybuilding two boxes of ONE Bar: $100.19 excluding GST
      Iherb: $63.07

Edit: just realised iherb has 10% off protein bars, so its 10% incorrect, but its still way cheaper.

I think everyone knows that you can shop around for specific products to see if you can find it cheaper.

iHerb have a huge amount of products and saying X product is cheaper elsewhere therefore the whole store is bad is poor logic.

But calling iherb a con and that their prices are ridiculous is simply wrong.

      • -2

I actually choose a random product, and it was a bad choice due to being 270ct its actually heavy.
The fact is, you're going to cry and whine like a little girl no matter how many products I choose.
What's worse? Off course you PICK PROTEIN BARS. HEAVY BULK ITEMS which 99% of the population don't buy.
Nutraplanet sells boxes of bars for as low as $8, if you email them they'll find the cheapest postage solution. Further more, like I stated so many times most people who really want to save and make decent sized orders use mail forwarding services where postage is 1/3-1/2 the price quoted by most websites.

Whats wrong with promotions? You're here claiming iHerb is cheap, and 10% is great value FFS!
Iherb is allowed 10% off, but Bodybuilding.com can't?

Amazon, eBay are generally all much cheaper and yes they're stores. You have other major health stores online across the US, use Google and find them. It's not my fault you don't know any other stores, if you're too lazy to find any that's your fault.

As I mentioned, for higher quality products it's cheaper elsewhere. If you're buying cheap vitamin brands, the savings aren't worth the effort. You can find nearly every product cheaper from other stores, eBay at least 10% cheaper.

Bodybuilding products, major discounts all the websites which do sports supplement have major discounts and sales which embarrass iHerbs 10% off.
You have to use mail forwarding services to really save, however like mentioned brands like Life Extension can be found much cheaper elsewhere.

There is major savings, but if you like to buy protein bars. Sure, iHerb can be great even tho you can find them cheap in Australia on clearance sales most of the time.

You can pick and choose heavy items to try make a case, but fact remains most other stores have cheaper pricing.
Take into account, even when ordering 1 BOTTLE iHerb does not give you FREE POSTAGE. Therefore you're actually WRONG.
I love how you had to CHOOSE 2 BOXES of protein bars in order to claim free postage.

But if it was 1 item, see IHERB wouldn't be cheaper. You can't pick and choose, because then I can claim if you order 10 bottles and save $4 a bottle therefore that's the $40 iHerb is charging you for postage.

In general, iHerb is known to be expensive. Check any US forums, and no one buys from them. Its cheaper for US for heavy items, but their not a cheaper website to buy products from overall for most the population.

        • Simply no.

          Your iherb argument is wrong.

You need to take a chill pill.

          • @samfisher5986: I'm not wrong mate.

            You're wrong.

It's not cheaper to buy 1 protein bar box from iHerb than another store. You have to buy 2, in order to make a claim.

I can find so many products off their front page cheaper everywhere else.

            https://au.iherb.com/pr/Jarrow-Formulas-Ashwagandha-300-mg-1…

            https://www.amazon.com/Jarrow-Formulas-Ashwagandha-Supports-…

            https://www.vitacost.com/jarrow-formulas-ashwagandha-withani…

            https://www.luckyvitamin.com/p-14509-jarrow-formulas-ashwaga…

I didn't even look on eBay, but these are all cheaper by $2-3.

$2-3 per product, say when ordering 5-15 products adds up to $15-45

Thats your FREE so called postage

P.S> Nearly all these other major sites I found off Google run larger sales at any given time than iHerb

Why don't you find me products that are cheaper on iHerb than anywhere else? Forget postage, because most products are under $40.
You can't put restrictions, or create terms and conditions in order to help your case otherwise I can too.

Single product, iHerb is actually way more expensive
2 products if that meets the min spend for free postage it may be cheaper.
If buying 10 products, where youre saving $3 min a product, that's $30 and well thats your postage. But I've clearly shown even with Life Extension, there is a $25 difference in some products.

So whatever dude, go waste your money.
